Emerald Dark Chocolate Cocoa Roast Almonds
I love almonds and I love dark chocolate so I was thrilled to find these 100 calorie snacks from Emerald. The almonds are packed in small packets that are easy to throw into a purse or diaper bag. The yummy almonds inside are made even better by the powdery dark chocolate coating. These are my most favorite snack!

Special K Italian Tomato and Herb Crackers
Crackers are on of my weaknesses, but they are high in calories so they are one of the first foods I thought I would have to avoid. However, Special K has developed absolutely yummy crackers that are only 90 calories per serving and since a serving is 17 crackers they make a great snack.

Kale Chips
When I first heard of the kale leaf chips I thought what the heck is kale and will I even like it? Being forever adventurous I hunted down some kale and made some chips. Not knowing what to think I took a bite and was pleasantly surprised. Divide the recipe below into four servings and you will have a healthy 100 calorie snack.

Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a baking stone. Mix the vinegar, oil, and salt. Add the with kale leaves and toss. Place in a single layer on cookie sheet and place into oven. Bake 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy. Do not overcook or allow them to become completely brown as they will taste bitter.

Pickles
I have a lot of food weaknesses and pickles are one of them. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the my favorite brand of dill pickles is only 15 calories per medium sized pickle. Pickles are an excellent way to curb a salty craving. They are also a great snack to get a fairs and festivals instead of all the fried crap that is readily available.

Green Tea Popsicle
There are so many types and brands of tea that I am sure you have a favorite. Turn your favorite flavored tea into a great summer treat by making the tea into popsicles. Most tea has very few calories and even less when you portion it out into the Tupperware popsicle molds. Add some berries for an extra special treat and you will still be way under 100 calories.

Yogurt
Yogurt is good for you and is readily available however some brands are quite high in calories. My favorite low calorie yogurt is the Archer Farms brand from Target. The Archer Farm yogurts are 70-90 calories and they are very flavorful. At just $0.54 they are also an inexpensive 100 calorie snack.

Gerber Graduate Puffs
My son is 14 so I haven’t shopped in the baby food aisle for many years. At least not until I heard about Gerber Graduate Puffs. Some of the puffs are just 25 calories for ½ cup and they taste yummy. There are a ton of flavors available so everyone should be able to find a flavor they enjoy.

Sugar Free Fudgsicle
Chocolaty, sweet, and low calorie what more could you ask for in a snack? Fudgsicle’s are just 40 calories per bar. Enough said…

100 Calorie Packs
Just because you are limiting your calorie intake does not mean you always want to eat “health food. That is why Nabisco, Little Debbie’s, and many other major food companies have started making 100 calorie snack packs. You can get oreos, cookies, chips, and more. You will pay more for the convenience of the 100 calorie snack packs, but for many the psychological “bottom of the bag syndrome” will help curb overeating.

Hummus Dip and Veggies
I will admit that for me hummus was an acquired taste. However, I have found that now I actually enjoy the flavor and love the way it enhances the flavor of some veggies. I found hummus particularly good with carrots and green peppers. If your like me you can eat only so many plain veggies before the flavor is boring. With hummus the added flavor makes the snack more satisfying so that I curb the sugar cravings and get all the health benefits of the veggies.
