Emerald Almonds Cocoa Roast Review

100 Calorie Packs, Almonds, Cocoa

Emerald Almonds Cocoa Roast flavor taste of dark chocolate, but aren’t the kind of chocolate-covered almonds dipped in creamy, fudgy chocolate. Instead, with Emerald Almonds Cocoa Roast, you can expect more of a dusting of cocoa for all the flavor but less fat.

If you are looking for a healthy after-school snack, a healthy source of protein for a child’s lunch box, snack to eat in the car or a diet-friendly snack for the office, I recommend either buying the Emerald 100-calorie packs or dividing up a portion of almonds into little baggies.

It’s a must if you are on the Sonoma diet or the chocolate lovers diet!

I bought the 11 ounce Emerald Almonds cocoa roast for my review. Here are some things to know about the Emerald Almonds Cocoa:

No. 1: Emerald Almonds Cocoa Ingredients: Dry roasted almonds, modified corn starch, natural and artificial flavors, cocoa powder, salt and Acesulfame potassium, sucralose

No. 2: Emerald Almonds nutrition: One serving contains 13 grams of fat, but only 1 gram of saturated fat and no trans fat. It also has 25 mg sodium, 1 gram of sugar, 6 grams of protein, and 210 mg of potassium. It’s a great source of iron, Vitamin E and Calcium. It’s great for a moderate fat diet, which may help you shed pounds.

No. 3: Are Emerald Almonds gluten free?: The Emerald almonds cocoa are not labeled gluten free. They are processed on equipment that also process tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, milk and sesame seeds. It may contain some gluten, although I imagine the amount would be small based on the ingredient list.

No. 4: Emerald Almonds calories: The Emerald Almonds 100 calorie packs obviously contain 100 calories. A serving of the almonds from the larger container has 150 calories.

No. 5: Emerald Almonds 100 Calorie Packs: Emerald Almonds 100 calorie packs are also available and are extremely convenient.

Check the “best before” label to see when the Emerald almonds will be the most fresh. For the most part, almonds tend to last a while without becoming stale. If your Emerald Almonds are not extremely crunch, it will tell you they are no longer fresh.

If you like the taste of cocoa, and aren’t expecting an indulgent chocolate candy bar type experience with Emerald Cocoa Roast, you should enjoy the product. I found the cocoa flavor did leave a mild aftertaste but nothing too bad. If you want to be healthy, but don’t like plain almonds, I suggest trying the give Emerald Almond Cocoa Roast.

For my review, I give Emerald Almond Cocoa Roast four out of five stars for taste and nutrition.
