South Beach Diet Sweet Nut Creations Roasted Peanut Bar Vs. Nature’s Choice & Atkin’s

Beach Bars, South Beach, Taste Tests

I received the South Beach Diet Sweet Nut Creations Roasted Peanut Bar in the mail as a sample. I’m not sure who sent it to me but I guess I like to live on the edge, I ate it anyway.. After dinner, the other night we had no desert so I decided to eat this since I love peanut butter and basically the cupbopards were bare.

I’ve tried dozens of health bars because I like a snack but I like it to be healthy. This was tasty and healthy. If you compare it to the Atkin’s bars, it has a lot more protein and much tastier. and comparted to Nature’s Choice Multi Grain Cherry Cereal Bars ,which was my favorite forever, it was healthier. It only has 1 gram of protein, 25 grams of carbs and it has a whopping 13 grams of sugar. Comparing the two South Beach has only 7 gram sugar and 18 grams of carbohydrates. So obviously South Beach is healthier for you. I don’t watch my weight but I do try and keep a handle on my health at my age (64). Nature’s Choice is Vegan friendly, has no preservatives, no artificial colors or flavors, no hydrogented oils and is wheat free so it’s perfect for the allergy prone. Being low in protein I end up going for the South Beach bar.

The South Beach Diet Sweet Nut Creations Roasted Peanut Bar is smallish, about 5 inches by 2 1/2 ” wide. It weighs in at 1.23 oz ( 35 grams). It’s covered with an”icing” like finish of peanut butter and is full of chopped nuts I found it chewy enough, a bit crunchy and absolutely delicious. I didn’t find any after taste. It’s also easy to carry around when you’re in a hot climate, it won’t melt like chocolate would , in your purse or pocket. It’s brand new on the market so you may ave to hunt around for it.

The South Beach bars are meant to be used as part of phases 2 and 3 of a diet regime designed by a Dr. Atgaston Kraft Foods. These phases are for reintroducing carbs and for maintaining your goal weight. As I said, I’m not dieting but a health bar is far better for you than a candy bar when you need a sweet. I’m usually a chocolate freak but peanut butter runs a close second.

Tastes vary from person to person so doing your own taste tests and trial and error is probably what you’ll have to do before deciding on a favorite health bar but I vote strongly for the South Beach Sweet Nut creations Bar.
