Arm Workout, Best Workouts, Flabby Arms, Fun Workout

Flabby arms are something that nobody really wants. It is depressing when you have extra skin under your arms that flaps around as you raise your arms and wave goodbye. Well, you can say goodbye to that flab by doing some of these exercises below and get those arms back in shape for tank-top season.

Dumbbells

One of the easiest exercises that you can do at home for flabby arms is with dumbbells. This is a way to get rid off that flab without spending lots of money of equipment or going to the gym. With the dumbbells in hand, you decide on how heavy you want the dumbbells to be, put your arms straight up in the air. Then bend your arms behind your head and up again. Keep doing this as many reps as you want. It is a great way to tone up those arms at home!

Bo Flex

My parents have the Boflex workout machine and they love it! On this machine you can do so many different workouts, including ones for the arms. The set include weights where you can lift them to get toned up, or you can change the weight on two ropes. So as you sit in the seat you put your hand through the loops at the end and you push outward and then pull it back to your chest. This is a great was to work out your shoulders, chest and arms. You can change the weight to something light and easy or something harder and heavier.

The Boflex can be found at the Boflex website. You can get it for payments as low as $42 a month. The reviews I have seen for the Boflex are great! People are loving the machine, and losing weight with it!

Bodylastics

Bodylastics is a band that looks like a jump rope. It is made from elastic and used for resistance training. I have this and it is great for the arms. There are so many different exercises that you can do with this thing. Basically what you do is step on it and hold the handles at the ends and do curls, raise your arms up and down to the side of you, or in front of you, or you can put the equipment or a door and pull down so you can work the muscles of your arms in different places.

You can find this piece of equipment at www.workout-equipment.com. It comes with a great training workout video that shows you the different ways you can use it. It only costs $39.95 and I think it is well worth it! The best part is, is that it doesn’t take up much room at all. And you can watch TV as you are doing it.

The Gazelle

I have the Tony Little Gazelle workout machine also. This works out your whole body! It stimulates a cross between cross-country skiing and running or walking in air. So your arms and legs are moving the whole time. It works great for arms, legs, stomach, thighs and everything in between! It folds up so after you are done you can put it under the bed or in a closet so it is out of the way. I use it when I am watching TV. I bought this item from Wal-Mart for $80. Or you can go to the Tony Little Website and order it there also.

For the reviews, the people like that it folds up for easy storage, you can use it while watching TV, and it is quiet.

Biceps Curl Machine

This piece of equipment can be found at mainly every gym. This is an exercise where you sit on a cushioned seat and have your arms in front of you with your palms up and grasping the end of the bars. Then you curl the bars towards you and then release. You repeat this as many times as you want and you can change the weight to any weight that you prefer.

I like this exercise, but after a while my wrists start to hurt. So I can’t do that many of them. But otherwise you can feel the burn in your biceps after this workout.

Canoeing/Kayaking

If the gym isn’t for you, then you can take up canoeing or kayaking. Here you get to be outdoors and enjoy the fresh air as you get in shape. Both of these activities are a great way to tone up the arms. As you paddle you are in control of the device. So you could try these activities also instead of hitting the gym.

Push-ups

Another simple and easy exercise you can do at home without spending money on any thing is pushups. This is a great way to work the biceps and to build and tone your muscles. You can start off by doing 10 a day and work your way up. Women you can start doing them with your knees on the ground and then work you way up to doing them the regular way.

Three Great Arm Workout DVDs

Stott Pilates- This is a great 90 minute workout video that is designed to workout the hard to reach muscles! Moira Merrithew takes you through ways to tighten and tone arms, buns and thighs. I have not tried this video but my aunt swears that this really works. She got it for $15 online at the Exercise TV Store website. She said it is great for those at the beginning and intermediate levels. All you need is a Pilate’s mat to workout on to make it more comfortable than the floor.

Tank Top Arms, Bikini Belly, Boy Shorts Bottom DVD- The title of this DVD says it all! I lost 15 pounds with this workout video in the first month and I had fun doing it. Minna Lessig goes through exercises that hit all these trouble spots on your body. So you can work out those flabby arms and the rest of your body! You could be wearing a bikini after using this fun workout. I bought this DVD for $15.00 at Wal-Mart.

These are just a few ideas on how to tone up. Remember no matter what exercise you find, make sure you stick with it. Try to find something you have fun with and it is easier to do. Also switch things up daily so you are not working out to the same DVD over and over. There is seriously a lot of fun workout DVDs out there! The Biggest Loser is one of my top 5.
