Be aware of such claim, these are diet fads that mostly come with the following disclosure printed on their weight loss bottles, “These have not been evaluated and/or tested by FDA.” In layman’s term, take it at your own risk. This disclosure alone should alert you not to buy them.

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a weight loss does not really need to be a dramatic one to see and feel its health benefits. A mere weight loss of up to 10 pounds if you are overweight is better than not losing weight at all. Even if you are still outside your ideal body weight, losing five percent of your current weight decreases your health risk factors, particularly heart disease and diabetes, which are two chronic diseases that are associated with obesity or being overweight.

Aside from reducing or decreasing your health risk factors. A healthy weight loss also improves your cholesterol level, your blood pressure readings and increases your physical stamina, which affects your energy levels and mood as well. If you look good, you definitely feel good. The first step is on you and make sure to involve your family, friends, co-workers, even your community.
