Top Seattle Hotels for Every Budget

Downtown Seattle, Pacific Northwest, Travel Guide Seattle

If you’re a lucky traveler who will be visiting the Emerald City in the Pacific Northwest (not in the Land of Oz, of course), you may be pulling your hair out trying to figure out the best place to stay for the money, or if money is no object, perhaps you’re looking for the ultimate in romance? Whatever your budget, here is a look at the top hotels in Seattle, Washington, that should fit the bill just right.

Low Budget

If you truly want the very cheapest in the area and don’t need to be near downtown Seattle, you’ll find the lodging near Seatac Airport to be quite affordable; however, the region tends to be higher in crime with lower quality lodging options. It’s worth it to shell out just a little more to avoid staying Seatac, which is 15 miles south of Seattle.

A more comfortable and cheaper option than a stay in the city itself would be at the Days Inn Seattle- Lynwood, located 16 miles north of Seattle proper. The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable with all the usual amenities and offers bargain rates as low as $43 a night.

The lowest priced hotel in downtown Seattle where you’ll experience both cleanliness and security is the Inn at Queen Anne. The inn offers European-style comforts in a beautiful historic hotel located in one of my favorite Seattle neighborhoods, Queen Anne, known for its vibrant feel and eclectic charm. Rooms can be had for just $96 a night, a bargain for big city accommodations.

One of my favorite hotels in the nation for the money is the Silver Cloud Inn on Lake Union. For about $110 in the off season and $159 during the peak summer months, you can get a room with a view of the Space Needle and the lake. You’ll also enjoy a wonderful night’s rest on one of the most comfortable beds you’ll ever sleep on and a free full breakfast with a wide variety of delicious options in the morning. The hotel is located just two miles from downtown, and they offer a free shuttle to get you there.

Most Luxurious

If you want the best in ambiance and luxury, choose The Edgewater Hotel on the waterfront in Seattle. The hotel offers a variety of romance packages, and there is no better setting than on the edge of the water in one of the most spectacular cities in the U.S.

Everything here is the top of the line, and deluxe rooms starting at $200 a night include a gas fireplace as well as views of the ferries gliding across Elliott Bay and even a glimpse of the majestic Olympic Mountains.
