Top Five Most Dangerous Drugs to Use

Addictive Drugs, MDMA, Percocet

You can find drugs just about anywhere in the world. The addiction rates of certain drugs increase every year amongst teens and up, but why are people doing this? There are many possibilities to why people use drugs for recreational use, the main reason is simply starting off with prescription drugs. One particular type of drug that is very addictive is a Narcotic. A Narcotic is a stronger pain reliever aka pain killer, but the main reason Narcotics are so strong is that they produce psychological effects that both allow the user to forget about the pain and feel happy about themselves.

As the case of addictive drugs increases highly each year, families and friends have to deal with their loved ones going through this terrible illness. Sure, it is very much so right to take your drugs that are prescribed to you. I highly recommend you take anything that is prescribed to you, because that is what they are there for, but even though you have a prescribed drug, once it is finished, it should be tossed or thrown away. If you continue taking the drug to experience the feeling of happiness or “euphoria”, you then have a problem. I will explain the top five most dangerous drugs to use, but be aware that there are plenty of other drugs out there that are very dangerous also.

1. MDMA aka Ecstasy

Very addictive, Ecstasy abuse is one a rise, as it is every year. The dangerous abuse from this drug poses serious social concerns. Even though you tend to feel good when taking this drug, you can do things that you might and will regret. Ecstasy is a member of the phenethylamine family as it is a semisynthetic entactogen, which is basically a psychoactive medication that is derived from natural sources. Ecstasy is being used more and more in clubs and raves. The effects of empathy, happiness or euphoria, energy, and openness are all signs that this drug simply makes people have more fun while they are around other people doing the same exact thing.

You would think something like this is completely harmless as it just makes you feel a lot better about yourself, but since the drug is so potent, you really don’t know what you are doing when you are on the drug, which can be extremely fatal. There are also severe withdrawal symptoms that you will have to deal with once you come off of the drug, or if you stop suddenly. All in all, this is a very dangerous medication to take, which ranks it at number 5.

2. LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide)

LSD is a semisynthetic psychedelic drug, which is also very addictive and dangerous. In simple terms, LSD is acid that has a very bitter taste to it. It normally is taken orally and is added to absorbent paper, which are then divided into small groups allowing you to figure out when you’d take your next dose. The mystery behind LSD is that it is a very unpredictable drug, depending on how much you take. A LSD user will experience a vast array of hallucinations, which can be very dangerous, especially if you are in a severe tripping mode.

While this drugs reaction don’t sound like it is all that dangerous, you need to put into perspective that there are dangerous things a person can do while they are on this drug. You will literally allow yourself to jump off of a building if the time comes, that and the fact that you will experience higher body temperature, increased heart rate, and serious sweating, which can also be very dangerous to your body. These facts about this drug rank it at number 4.

3. OxyContin ©

OxyContin is a very good drug for patients suffering from severe pain, but it is also very dangerous if abused, just like any drug really, but there are reasons why this one made the list. OxyContin is derived from the narcotic Oxycodone, so basically it is very similar to Percocet ©, which is another narcotic pain-killer. OxyContin is a time-released tablet that releases the drug in your body every hour. OxyContin that is used medically is perfectly fine as it really provides the patient with much needed relief from pain, but now comes the bad news.

You are supposed to swallow the tablets whole so that they can do their job, but people know the shortcuts around this drug that allow it to produce a very intense feeling of happiness or euphoria. In order to receive this intense feeling, the user must crush the tablet and snort it, or they may dilute it in water and inject right into their body. Very similar to Heroin, this drug can produce an even more intense feeling of euphoria, which is not a good thing at all. Parents have had to deal with this with their kids and some haven’t been so lucky. Many people die from OxyContin, whether it is overdosing or mixing it with other drugs. Since OxyContin is time-released, crushing it alone can be potentially fatal because it can give the user too much of it at once.

If you do survive taking this drug the way you are taking it, the withdrawal symptoms are very painful and even life-threatening. The user will experience hotcold sweats, heart palpitations, jointmuscle aches, uncontrollable coughing, bad diarrhea, depression, insomnia, and more. OxyContin really is a great medication if it is taken as prescribed, but being a very great drug, it is also one of the worst if taken illegally. Please be careful and follow these facts because you can be putting your life in danger. This drug ranks at number 3.

4. Methamphetamine aka Crystal Meth

Crystal Methamphetamine is a colorless, odorless drug that is highly addictive and popular around the world. It like most other drugs is synthetic (man-made), and it is a stimulant a lot like the prescribed drugs Ritalin © and Adderall ©, as it is in the same exact family as an Amphetamine. Users that abuse this drug, enjoy the long lasting euphoric effects that it provides, along with the powerful rush that users experience when they either smoke it or inject it intravenously. You can purchase this drug on the street and users refer to this drug as “speed”, “meth”, “chalk”, “ice”, “crystal”, etc.

Like any other drug, in order to experience the same effects as before, you would need to increase your dose, which makes this drug a very dangerous one. The neurological hazards of this drug are that the Methamphetamine releases very high levels of dopamine, which stimulates the brain cells, allowing the user to be more alert, etc. Over time, Crystal Meth will basically damage your brain cells by causing reduced levels of dopamine, which can result in developing symptoms like those of Parkinson’s Disease, which is a movement disorder. This drug is very illegal and dangerous, which ranks it at number 2.

5. Heroin

That’s right, Heroin is the number 1 most dangerous drug in the world, but why? I will explain why this drug is dangerous, but just like any other drug, it does produce relief in a sense. Heroin is a narcotic, just like Vicodin ©, Percocet ©, and OxyContin ©, but Heroin is derived directly from the opium poppy, which make it more powerful than Morphine (another very powerful narcotic). Users that take Heroin usually look for the intense euphoric effects, but Heroin is also an intense pain-killer. Users that are suffering from severe pain will feel absolutely no pain one the Heroin enters their body.

Heroin can be administered by either snorting it or injecting it intravenously. Seeing that this drug is similar to Vicodin © and Percocet ©, you would think that this drug would be legal since it has good causes, well there are a few things to learn about drugs that are this powerful. Obviously to stronger the drug, the more intense the withdrawal. In as little as two or three days, the user can experience life-threatening symptoms if heshe decides to stop taking the drug suddenly. While everyone is different, this is usually the average amount of time.

There is serious history related to Heroin as it used to be a legal drug until 1924 came along. Once Heroin enters the body and passes through the liver, it is then converted into morphine, which is a legal drug. Since Morphine is also a strong drug, it is not as powerful as Heroin, since Heroin is basically the real thing, it also enters the bloodstream a lot faster, depending on which way you administer it. Morphine is usually administered through an IV, which is also a very quick way of giving a drug to someone.

Ranking this at number 1 is basically because of Heroins major withdrawal symptoms and the fact that too much of it can be very fatal to your body. The user will start to feel the start of their withdrawal about 6 to 24 hours after their last dosage. This depends on the user, but you will start to feel very depressed. Along with the depression, you will start to sweat and will want to take Heroin again, this is also known as craving the drug. Other serious effects of Heroin withdrawal are continuous vomiting, diarrhea, painful cramps, high fever, and restless legs (aka restless leg syndrome). If you are going through withdrawal, you will also notice that you will have trouble sleeping (insomnia). Users taking the cold turkey route will feel the most wrath, this means that someone isn’t using another drug to wean themselves off of the Heroin.

Knowing that there are serious withdrawal symptoms from Heroin use, you’d think people would not want to use it, however there are drugs out there that basically make withdrawal symptoms completely tolerable. People who use Heroin every now and then probably won’t even experience withdrawals, but the chances of someone not coming back to the drug right after it wears off is very rare.

Drugs are very popular around the world. Pretty much everyone has experienced some kind of a drug, whether it is a simple cough suppressant or a serious drug known as Heroin, they are just out there waiting to affect you. Just watch yourselves, because many drugs can take over your lives and the consequences are very dangerous. I hope this helps.
