There are some foods out there that will lower cholesterol in weeks if you have a serving or two of them each day. The first food is Oatmeal. Oatmeal is loaded with soluble fiber which lowers the “bad” cholesterol in your body, and absorbs cholesterol located in your intestines. The second food is Bananas. Bananas are also loaded with soluble fiber which will do the same work Oatmeal does. The third food is Nuts. Nuts like Walnuts and Almonds will keep your blood vessels healthy, and will reduce blood cholesterol dramatically. Nuts are extremely high in calories though, so don’t eat too much. If you want a tasty treat that will totally lower your cholesterol, chop up nuts and bananas and put it into your oatmeal. Also, fish is a great food too, but we’ll explain that in the next section.

Eat fish, or fake fish oil Supplements

Omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil supplements lower blood pressure and reduces the risk of sudden death or heart attacks. Eating fish will be more beneficial to your health, but the supplements will lower your cholesterol more than eating normal fish because of the high levels of the Omega-3 fatty acids. Exercise 30 minutes each day

Try to Jog or ride a bike for 30 minutes each day will get rid of most of the low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or “bad” cholesterol levels in your body. If you want to simply walk, try walking for 45 minutes to an hour to get the same beneficial effects you can get from vigorous exercising. Try to walk or jog at least 20 miles per week to see some big changes in your cholesterol levels.

Get 8 hours of sleep every night

When you don’t get enough sleep, your cholesterol levels can get higher and higher due to you not being fully rejuvenated. When you’re in a deep sleep, your body releases growth hormones into the body which decreases those LDL levels. When you go to sleep late and have to wake up early, your cholesterol can get worse. To get some good sleep, try to go to bed earlier. Try to wake up early too. Also, you should always have a comfortable mattress to avoid tossing and turning during sleep. Avoid drinking coffee during the day to really get your sleep schedule on track.
