Going out to eat is a luxury for many of us. When we get the chance to enjoy a night out of being pampered and fed, we only want the best. Sadly, it usually takes several trials and errors to find the best restaurant in the city. My goal is to make that search a little bit easier for all of you. I have visited dozens of restaurants and only one stands above them all: Spice.
Located at 297 North Street, Spice is a one of a kind dining experience in Pittsfield, MA. Many of the restaurants around our area offer casual dining experiences as reasonable prices. Spice presents itself as an escape from reality. It is a place to go to enjoy the finer things in life and to dine in upper class style. Sure, the prices may seem a bit high, but you are guaranteed to get your money’s worth. You are offered a menu with a wide variety of drinks and three course meals. During the whole time you are there, you are treated like royalty and this enhances the experience that much more.
Douglas Luff is the executive chef of Spice restaurant. He brings with him years of experience in which he has worked all over the world. Many of the dishes that you see on the menu have been created and approved by him personally. Some of Spice’s delicious entrees include Spice Rubbed Center Cut Pork Chop, Grilled Mustard and Sage Marinated Chicken, Grilled Dry Aged New York Strip, and Macaroni and Maine Lobster. Each meal is accompanied by your choice of salad and appetizer. The salads and appetizers change almost monthly, so you are always guaranteed something fresh and new when you visit Spice.
The bar and lounge area of Spice is something in itself. The lounge has it’s own specific menu that offers a many different appetizers to fill you up while you are having a drink. Some of the items on the lounge menu include Roasted Chicken Drumsticks, Lobster Stuffed Devil Eggs, Hand-Cut Fries, and Chilled Poached Shrimp. You can order any of these dishes with one of your favorite beers and wines. You can choose from several different red, white, and desert flavored wines. There are several choices in hopes that there is a specific type of wine for each person’s needs.
Spice Restaurant is one of the newest locations in Pittsfield. By being located on North Street, Spice hopes to help continue the renovation of downtown. Over the next couple of years, Spice hopes to expand on it’s current location and offer more options to the public. They continue to work hard on developing new dishes and ways to attract newer clientele. If you are looking for the best place to eat and escape it all, this is the place to go. Spice restaurant offers a one of a kind dining experience and a place to disappear from it all.
