Spinning Neopets Wheels for Fun & Profit

Haunted Woods, Neopoints

Being a huge fan of Neopets I’m often shocked that people don’t know about the various dailies’ available at the site. What’s a “daily”? Something that you can participate in at the site for fun and to possibly win a prize or Neopoints. Some of them can only be done once a day, others every few hours. All the details are listed for you when you go to the page they are featured on. Playing them can be a risk but it can pay off in a big way if you get a Paintbrush or Bottled Faerie

Wheel of Misfortune (Haunted Woods)
Cost: 100 NP – Every two hours
The best item to get from this is the Misfortune Avatar; you have to land on a certain spot on the wheel to get it. After two years of trying, I still haven’t received it. Most of the time I lose 5 NP or have an item stolen by the Pant Devil. This one doesn’t take a long time to show your prize and while some people say it is a waste of NP, it is a nice break from the other wheels.

Wheel of Knowledge (Brightvale)
Cost: 500 NP – Once a day
You can get books, legal cheat codes for games and windows from this wheel but more often than not you’ll get a free spin and have to go through the whole process again. Scrolls can also be had but the resale prices on them are low because the market is flooded. This wheel does take a little longer than others and when you get a free spin you might want to wait a couple minutes before trying again.

Wheel of Mediocrity (Tyrannia)
Cost: 50 NP – Every 40 minutes
An easy wheel to spin, not that many big prizes to be had from it but it only costs you 50 NP. There is an Avatar to be had from this wheel but you will need to land on the highest NP amount to get it (1,000). I’ve never been very lucky with this one but it’s not a bad way to blow 50 NP.

Wheel of Monotony (Tyrannia)
Cost: 100 NP – Once a day
This wheel takes forever to complete its turn; some of my spins in the past have been over 70 minutes. When it was first released at the site people went nuts for it even though it took a long time to come to an end. There are ways to see exactly how long it will take (I’d rather not know) and you could walk away from it with a shiny new Avatar for your collection.

Wheel of Excitement (Faerieland)
Cost: 150 NP – Every two hours
What will the faerie grace you with? If you play this one you could have your pet healed, get a potion or win Neopoints but you also run the risk of getting hit by the Pant Devil or getting zapped and ending up with a disease. Of course, the Avatar of the spinning wheel is an awesome addition to your collection.

You can also check out the Sponsor game, Wheel of Slime. This can be found in the Games section of the site, can be played three times a day and doesn’t cost anything to play it. In the past there have been other wheels in the Games section but most of them have been Sponsor adverts that were only available for a limited time.

If you are going to try any of the wheels make sure that you check your inventory and clear out anything that is expensive; the Pant devil could strike at any time and if he nabs something of worth you will feel like kicking yourself! Are there cheats for the wheels? I am sure there are but is a Bottled Faerie, Paintbrush or 10,000 NP really worth losing your account?
