I do my best to choose a breakfast that has vitamins, minerals, whole grains, and is still low in calories. Many times I turn to cereal because it’s not only quick, but it has the nutrition I’m looking for as well. Kellogg’s is a brand that you can trust for being nutritional. But, I must admit that I’m not a fan of plain cornflakes. I like my cereal to have nuts and dried fruit. Unfortunately, this usually leads many cereals to be loaded with calories. One cereal I found though was Mueslix. This cereal not only looked tasty, it appeared to be healthy as well. But, was Kellogg’s Mueslix really as tasty as it looked? Was it really nutritional? First of all Kellogg’s Mueslix has toasted whole grains with raisins, dates, and almonds. This usually leads many cereals to be loaded with fat, calories, and sugar. So how does Kellogg’s Mueslix compare to those other high fat cereals? Kellogg’s Mueslix is actually very healthy. A serving size is 2/3 cup and has 200 calories and 3 grams of fat. The cereal doesn’t have saturated or trans fats. Kellogg’s Mueslix also contains 100% of Vitamins B6 and B12. The cereal does contain 17 grams of sugar, but this is to be expected with all the dried fruit that is found in Kellogg’s Mueslix. All in all, you can feel good about eating this for breakfast or even as snack.

The taste of Kellogg’s Mueslix is amazing. It is loaded with dried fruit and large pieces of almonds. I have to say that this is one of my favorite breakfast items. And while 2/3 cup does seem like a small serving, Kellogg’s Mueslix is very satisfying.
