Review of Frigidaire Gallery Heavy Duty Stackable Front-Loading Washer
Few items get more use in my home than my television and my washer. It seems these appliances are virtually constantly in use. Rarely a day goes by that my washer is not spinning, rinsing, or soaking the clothes for me. With a family of six, I really want a washer that stands up to daily abuse and will last for years to come.
Let’s face it. Four kids can really put their clothes on and get dirty. We get all kinds of stains and grime. My husband is a truck driver and hauls hogs. Let’s just say that he could be the next showcased person on “Dirty Jobs”.
My Frigidaire heavy duty washer really gets the clothes clean. Stubborn stains and hog stink are no match for this front-loading washer. In fact, my daughter recently did a science fair project testing different varieties of laundry detergent. As a control test, she tried washing stained garments in our washer with no soap at all. My Frigidaire washer got out a tablespoon of barbecue sauce, 3 teaspoons of orange punch, and 4 teaspoons of strawberry juice from each piece of clothing. These stained garments were clean as a whistle with no residue from the set in stain. Now that is cleaning power!
The front-loading washer is said to be better. I can agree that in my experience, this is very true. I want to get a full load of clothes in and clean, then off to the dryer. The Frigidaire heavy duty washer holds lots of kids clothes or one comforter for my king-sized bed. As long as the washer is not overloaded, everything gets clean and comes out damp, not soaking wet.
I love the stacking feature. I am able to place the dryer on top of my washer to save floor space in my laundry room. The only downfall to this feature is that it is not wise to place anything on top of the dryer for storage if it is heavy or breakable. As the washer spins, it vibrates both the washer and the dryer. Items on top of the dryer have a tendency to vibrate right off and land onto the floor.
This Frigidaire heavy duty washer really has saved me money. I tend to be frugal and love to save a buck. I went from a top-loading washer to this Frigidaire front-loading washer that was supposed to be highly efficient. This was something that I personally had to experience before I believed it. I tell you I went from about a cup of Tide detergent per load down to approximately ¼ cup. For all of the laundry I do, this really has shown significant savings for my family.
The Frigidaire heavy duty front-loading washer really has stood the test of time. We have had the washer for two years now and clearly put it through some serious work. Still, the washer works great. The only time I have had trouble was when I got over zealous to wash and overloaded it. Keeping the loads large and reasonable, I couldn’t ask for a better washer than my Frigidaire.
Not only does this Frigidaire heavy duty washer get the clothes clean, but it has saved my family tons of cash on laundry soap. I have nearly cut my spending by 75% with this washer. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new washer.
