While visiting a friend recently, I couldn’t help but notice a delightful aroma that smelled like cinnamon and vanilla wafting through her apartment. When I asked her where the scent came from, she told me that the aroma was coming from a Patriot scented candle that she had just lit. After telling her that I had never heard of Patriot Candles, my friend explained that they are high – quality, scented candles that are sold at Walgreens Pharmacies.
She said that Patriot Candles from Walgreens were lower – priced alternatives to Yankee Candles and that in fact, they were very similar products. I must say, the candle was very nice to look at and the scent that it gave off was quite appealing.
A few days later, while shopping at a local Walgreens Pharmacy, I made a point of seeking out their stock of Patriot Candles. I was amazed by how many different scents, colors and sizes of these candles were in – stock at this Walgreens Pharmacy. Realizing that these candles would provide the basis for a useful and interesting product review, I have decided to write such an article.
Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is an article which reviews and examines the myriad types of Patriot Candles that are stocked and sold at Walgreens Pharmacies everywhere.
Sizes
In researching this article, I learned that Patriot Candles are available in several different sizes. First, I looked at the selection of Patriot Candles that were in – stock at my local Walgreens Pharmacy, then I perused the assortment of candles offered at walgreens.com. Most of the candles that I saw at Walgreens were 20 ounce varieties, with some 14.5 ounce specimens also in – stock.
At the Walgreens web site, I found many more 14.5 ounce Patriot Candles, as well as some 12 ounce candles.
Scents / Varieties
Patriot Candles from Walgreens Pharmacy are available in myriad scents, or varieties. As stated above, the Walgreens web site offers a larger selection of Patriot Candle scents than the selection that was offered at my local Walgreens Pharmacy. Here are just some of the many varieties of Patriot Candles that are normally in – stock at many Walgreens Pharmacies and at walgreens.com.
The scents include Cinnamon Vanilla, Cotton Clouds, Indigo Nights, Papaya Mango, Blooming Orchard, Days End, Lavender, Grandma’s Kitchen, Tranquil Sea,Just Picked, Rose Petal, Vanilla Bean, Apple Pie a la Mode, Home Linens, Gingered Peaches, Cookie Crunch and Midnight Ocean. Prices
Because Patriot Candles from Walgreens Pharmacy are large, high quality, scented candles, it only stands to reason that their retail prices would at least be fairly high.
The regular retail price charged for 20 ounce Patriot Candles at Walgreens Pharmacy and at walgreens,com is approximately 3 / $24 and / or 1 / $8.99. While I personally think that these prices are high for candles, it must be noted that other, more well – known brands of scented candles usually retail at much higher prices.
Appearance / Styles
Patriot Candles from Walgreens Pharmacy are aesthetically – pleasing products that are available in several different styles. Some of the Patriot Candles are packaged in large and tall glass jars, that to me, resemble Mason Jars. Others are packaged in shorter, squatter glass jars and the smallest candles are packaged in small, round glass containers. Many of the Patriot Candles feature appealing illustrations of the scent bases on their front labels.
Effectiveness
Patriot Candles from Walgreens Pharmacy are long – lasting, even – burning candles that are quite effective. For the couple of hours that I was at my friend’s apartment, the Cinnamon Vanilla Patriot Candle burned slowly and neatly and gave off a soothing, yet stimulating scent that really did smell like cinnamon and vanilla, not some chemical – based version of these scents.
While I was at my friend’s apartment, the sun went down and my friend placed the burning Patriot Candle on the coffee table in front of where we were seated, instead of turning on a lamp. The light and glow that the candle gave off was mellow and soothing and it created a very nice ambiance. Also, my friend told me that she regularly uses Patriot Candles from Walgreens Pharmacy and has always been pleased with their effectiveness and overall quality.
Special Features and Accessories
Patriot Candles from Walgreens Pharmacy feature lead – free wicks and they burn very evenly and neatly. Besides their excellent 12 ounce, 14.5 ounce and 20 ounce candles, Patriot Candles also offer battery – operated Pillar Candles, Essential Elements Soy Candles, Jar Candle Warmers, which are electric alternatives to regular candles, Scented Candle Fills and some candles that feature three layers of scents.
Availability
As far as I know, Patriot Candles are normally stocked and sold at Walgreens Pharmacies across America. I am unsure if these high – quality candles are sold at other retailers, or if they are sold exclusively at Walgreens Pharmacy.
