Centrum Silver Vitamins Versus Walgreens A thru Z Select Vitamins

Centrum, Selections, Walgreens

Although I don’t remember to take one every single day, I try to take a multivitamin tablet as often as possible. Currently, I the type of multivitamin / multimineral supplement that I am taking is Walgreens A thru Z Select Vitamins. Before that, the type of vitamiin that I was taking was Centrum Silver. Specially – formulated for people age 50 and over, both of these products are loaded with useful vitamins and minerals. When I saw the empty Centrum container sitting next to the Walgreens container recently, it made me realize that these vitamin varieties provided the basis for a consumer product comparison review. Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is an article which compares and reviews Centrum Silver Vitamins and Walgreens A thru Z Select Vitamins

Size
The net weight of the standard – sized plastic bottle of Centrum Silver Vitamins is 0.62 lb. This container holds 150 tablets.

The net weight of the plastic container of Walgreens A thru Z Select Vitamins is not visible anywhere on the container or cardboard backing.. This container holds 100 caplets. Amazingly, the package of Walgreens vitamins also includes a free, additional container of 30 more of these vitamins.

Price
The regular retail price charged for one 150 tablet container of Centrum Silver Vitamins at Hartford, Connecticut area pharmacies is approximately $13.99 – $14.99.

Hard to believe, but the listed price for the container of Walgreens A thru Z Select Vitamins that my Father gave me is just $7.99. That incredibly low price also includes the free container of 30 caplets. As with many other products, I can’t help but wonder why such a disparity in price exists between these two products, when they are so similar.
