Louisiana Peach Festival in Ruston, Louisiana

If you’re planning to visit Louisiana in June, make plans to visit the Louisiana Peach Festival. The Louisiana Peach Festival will begin on Friday, June 27 and end on Sunday, June 29. It includes rodeo, antique car show, peach jam dance and more. In this guide, I will list some of the things that will be happening that weekend.

Kids’ Fishing Tournament

Bring the kids out and let them enjoy the fishing tournament. This is a great event for children who love to fish. The tournament will take place at 8 am in the Lincoln Parish Park. There will be food and prizes.

Open Ceremony

The Open Ceremony will start at 6 pm at the Ruston’s historic downtown Railroad Park. This ceremony will officially kick off the Louisiana Peach Festival.

Rodeo

Don’t miss the Rodeo. Gates will open at 6 pm. There will be signs to point you to the location.

Downtown Food Court

Don’t miss the great vendors. There will be everything from hotdogs to funnel cakes. There will be all kinds of food available. The food vendors will open at 8 am and close at 10 pm.

Rodeo

The Rodeo will take place again on Saturday. Gates open at 6 pm. If you miss the Rodeo on Friday night, you can catch it on Saturday night.

Louisiana Peach Festival Arts & Crafts Show

The Arts & Crafts show will begin at 8 am and end at 6 pm. The admission to get into the show is $5 per person. Come out and see all of the great arts and crafts that will be available. There will be over 100 vendors for the Arts & Crafts Show.

Parade

The parade will begin at 9:00 am and it will run through downtown Ruston. A festival wouldn’t be a festival without the parade.

Russ Town Band Concert

This event will begin at 2 pm and will take place in the Dixie Theater. Admission is free.

The Antique Car Show and Corvette Show dates will be announced at a later date.

Gospel Music in the Park

Come out for some great gospel music. This event will take place in the Railroad Park and begin at noon.

Peach-Eating Contest

The Peach Eating Contest will begin at 4 pm in the Railroad Park. This event is free to the public and it is free to participate. The purpose of the event is to see how many pounds of peaches you can eat in two minutes.

Pet Show

The Pet Show will begin at 4:30 in Railroad Park. This event is free to the public. Come out and watch the pets to their thing. You will be amazed.

The above events are just a few things that are going on each day. To get a full schedule, please visit its Web site. The Web address will be listed at the bottom of this guide. Some of the events do not yet have times. Keep checking their site to see if a time has been scheduled.

The food vendors will be open all weekend, so you can get your belly full all three days. The Rodeo will take place on Friday and Saturday. So if you can make it to one night, make plans to attend the other one.
