How to Have Beautiful Hair Every Day

Everyone knows that having the perfect hair day starts the entire day off right. In order to have fabulous hair everyday, just follow these tips! Please note, though, that these are based off of personal experiences and your hair may respond differently.

The first step to having great hair is finding the perfect shampoo. I recommend Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo. It gets your hair clean and is incredibly cheap! It is also blue in color, which is good for preventing brassy tones in your hair. Avoid warm tones (red, orange, yellow) in your shampoo because this encourages brassiness. Stick to blue or purple shampoos.

Conditioning is also vital to healthy hair. Even thin hair should be conditioned at least every other wash. Conditioning actually balances moisture in your hair and keeps it looking healthy and shiny. It also keeps it manageable and tangle-free. My absolute favorite conditioner is Pantene. I stand by every type of Pantene conditioner and they make different conditioners for all different hair types. It is not expensive and works great! Everyone I have recommended it to has loved it as well.

Choosing the right color for your hair is always important as well. Consider your skin tone and style when choosing a color. Typically, shades close to your natural color work best. Highlights and lowlights add dimension as well. When coloring, going to a hairstylist should be your first choice. However, this gets expensive. Coloring at home is one alternative that is significantly cheaper. I use Garnier Nutrisse and have had success with that. If you use this to put blonde in your hair, though, be sure to buy the kit that says, “highlights.” Permanent blonde color can be tricky and often ends up looking brassy, but highlighting kits work much better. These kits are usually only around seven dollars. When you color, make sure you have someone to assist you so that they can check areas that you cannot see very well, such as the back of your head. Also make sure that you apply color thickly and evenly spaced. Even coats of dye will help prevent spots of color. At-home hair color usually comes with conditioner. Use this after you color: it is typically very good, very moisturizing conditioner.

Cutting your hair regularly is also essential. A fresh hair cut always perks up your style, but even a small trim will help. You should trim your hair every four to six weeks to keep it healthy and eliminate split ends. Layers also help to create body and give your hair a distinct style.

A great hairbrush helps hair to stay healthy. Make sure your brush has strong, flexible bristles. This will help prevent breakage. Brushing your hair regularly also keeps it healthy.

If you often put your hair in a ponytail, make sure to use ponytail holders that will not rip your hair.

Avoid putting too much product in your hair. This can make your hair greasy, hard to manage, dull, or weighed down.

Avoid significant heat damage. I like to allow my hair to air-dry most of the way so that I do not have to apply heat to it for very long. Invest in a quality straightener and only use it on pieces that really need to be straightened, if possible.

Remember that everyone’s hair is different, but these basic tips should help you to have beautiful, healthy, shiny hair.
