How to Get Rid of Wrinkles Naturally

Get Rid of Wrinkles

Before we discuss how to get rid of wrinkles, let us first examine the reasons for their formation in the first place.

There are dozens (100’s?) of explanations and theories out there as to the cause of wrinkles. Smoking, too much sun, harsh cleansers, not enough sun, well…the list goes on and on. While it may be true that some of these things certainly contribute to the formation of wrinkles, the physical reason that they form is the breakdown of collagen deep below the top skin layers. I see no reason to get deeply involved in a discussion of this phenomenon, as it has no bearing on how to get rid of wrinkles. I just felt you should know so you will better understand what is to come.

Here we want to learn how to get rid of wrinkles naturally. No doctors, no prescription medicines, no “new age” lasers or lights. We will only discuss methods of eliminating wrinkles using things that Mother Nature, in Her infinite wisdom, has already provided for us.

There is one cravat, however. Your wrinkles didn’t form overnight, and they won’t go away overnight, either. If you’re looking for a quick-fix, this isn’t the place. If, on the other hand, you want to bring back the younger looking skin that you had when you were young, and, if you are willing to work towards that goal until it is reached, I can help.

So…with that in mind, let’s begin…

To get rid of wrinkles: First, Stop Making Them Worse…

Never(EVER!) go outside without sunblock! The sun is your skin’s worst enemy. When you allow your skin to be bathed in sunlight without protection, free radicals are created, collagen is damaged, and your skin starts to lose it’s elasticity. Some medical professionals consider this to be the number one contributing factor to wrinkle formation.

Avoid Harsh Cleansers! Next to the sun, robbing your skin of moisture and essential oils is sure to cause much more harm than good. Never forget that your skin is a living, breathing part of your body, and will act no different than any other of your vital organs if you abuse it. Use cleansers that moisturize and replace oils that are lost during your daily activities. Dove Soap is a good example of a product designed to aid your skin in staying healthy and young-looking.

How to get rid of wrinkles using Mother Nature’s bounty…

Everything you need to reduce your wrinkles and restore your younger looking skin is available in nature. This is no big secret, as these herbs and compounds have been used in skin cream treatments for years. Most of these products, however, tend to target only one area (skin tightener, moisturizer, anti-oxidants, etc.), rather than provide a more comprehensive solution by combining ingredients and making one product that will do the complete job.

That’s not to say that the right products aren’t out there. They are! The challenge is in finding the right one. With that in mind, let’s look at some of the most effective natural ingredients that you should look for when choosing an anti-wrinkle cream:

Let’s Start With The Obvious…

Reducing or eliminating wrinkles requires that, first, you neutralize the free radicals that have been created by the sun, by pollution, and, even by stress. These free radicals are continually attacking your skin cells, and, without eliminating them, getting rid of wrinkles will be impossible.

For this reason, any skin treatment you use must contain anti-oxidants such as:

Vitamin A: This anti-oxidant is necessary, not only for healthy skin, but for eye sight, bones, and epithelial cells, as well. Vitamin A is very effective in penetrating the skin and reinforcing collagen and elastin.

Vitamin E: This powerful, fat-soluble anti-oxidant appears in several different forms. Alpha Tocopheryl is the most active in people, and, since your skin is high in unsaturated fatty acids that are especially susceptible to free radical damage, vitamin E is one of the most important ingredients to look for in a wrinkle treatment cream.

And…The Not-So-Obvious

Other highly desirable natural ingredients include:

Argireline: This compound is developed from naturally occurring amino acids and reduces excessive release of the neurotransmitters that make your facial muscles tense. When your muscles relax, it reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Argireline also promotes collagen and elastin production.

DMAE (or…Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate): This compound reinforces your skin’s collagin and elastin and keeps skin cells from drying out.

Hyaluronic Acid has been shown to help maintain healthy collagen and to keep the skin moisturized. Reduced levels of Hyaluronic Acid are associated with the appearance of wrinkles.

Hydrolyzed Wheat Gluten and Ceratonia siliqua, when combined, have been found to be an immensely effective natural skin tightener because of their ability first to form a permeable film on the skin, and then to evaporate, producing a lasting tightening effect.

Matrixyl has been developed to rejuvenate crucial fibroblasts, the cells that promote collagen. It has been found in studies to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and increase your skin’s smooth texture and elasticity to a striking degree.

Pentacare NA is a new skin tightener that has been developed as a substitute for serum albumen, which is made from cow’s blood. Pentacare NA is derived entirely from plants such as carob and wheat that are safe to use so, unlike serum albumen, which has been reported to have unwanted side effects, it’s danger free. It’s as good a skin tightener as serum albumen, but has none of the disadvantages.

How to get rid of wrinkles: I never said it was easy…

Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Confused, perhaps? Well…Don’t be! There are some great products out there that have many of these compounds in them. Your job is to go out and find them.

Now, the ball is in your court. Make a note of the compounds discussed earlier, and, when you search for a wrinkle cream, make sure that some of them, at least, are included.
