These simple Gold Monogrammed Wedding Centerpiece pillar candles make an addition to your wedding decor you can make at home. It is very simple to Turn a plain pillar candle into a Gold Monogrammed Wedding Centerpiece candle. This simple candle project is great way to add elegant and personalized touches from your wedding to plain pillar candles.

You can save money by embellishing plain vanilla a pillar candles you buy at the craft store. You will end up with designer looking candles that are perfect for a centerpiece on your wedding dinner tables.

To Embellish an Existing Pillar Candle With a Gold Monogrammed you will need:

Yellow Colored Candle Waxes (gray is you want to do a silver heart)

Silicone Spray

Letter Cookie Cutter

2 Glass bowls

Hot Water

Cold Water

Gold acrylic paint

Paintbrush

Now the first step is to Melt the yellow colored candle wax. Do this in its own bowl. You can do this by simply microwaving the on high for 15 seconds at a time in a glass dish. Microwave in intervals until the wax is melted.

Now, pour the yellow colored melted wax into a glass dish lightly coated with silicone spray. Be sure the wax is not thicker than 1/8 inch thick. If you make the wax embellishments too thick they will look silly sticking out on your pillar candle.

Once the yellow colored wax in the glass dish is solid but still soft you can spray silicone onto your personal letter shaped cookie cutter and press it into the soft wax. This is just like cutting out cookies with your cookie cutters and very simple to do. You should not burn your and, but the wax will be warm to the touch.

Remove the excess wax from around the letter shapes with a knife. You can trim any little details you need to at this point. You could also use a needle or wooden skewer to poke holes, hearts, or any design in the Gold Monogrammed Candle embellishment. Now, allow the yellow wax personalized letter shapes to cool completely.

Once the gold monogrammed candle wax shape is cooled you need to fill one bowl with hot water and one with cold water.

Put your gold monogrammed shaped wax cut out in the hot water to soften it up. While soft wrap the wax cut out around the wedding pillar candle so that the curves of the candle match exactly to your wax cut out design.

Now, immediately put the gold monogrammed wax cut out in cold water so it will hold the curves. I like to put a few ice cubs in my cold water. This helps the curved wax cutout immediate.

Dip your paintbrush into the some more hot wax you have melted in a separate small glass bowl. Paint it onto the back of the curves wax gold monogrammed shape. This will be the glue that holds the personalized cut outs onto your existing pillar candle. Use some hot wax to adhere the wax cut out design to the pillar candle.

Now, once you and your groom’s initials are set onto the candle, then you can paint the yellow with a little gold acrylic paint. Try using antique gold paint. The yellow provides ht perfect base color for the gold paint and gives a three-dimensional look for an expensive looking personalized wedding centerpiece anyone can make.
