Jeans have been my all time favorite go to garment for as long as I can remember, but finding a pair of comfortable fitting jeans can be quite a challenge. It can be very frustrating to try on a stack of jeans and not find one pair that feels or fits right. What happens a lot is, you get so aggravated that you settle for a pair that is the best of the bunch. You take them home, and when you do wear them, they feel awkward and uncomfortable. After that, they just sit unworn and forgotten which means you just wasted your money.
I always try to seek out the latest in “jean technology”. I recently went to the VF Factory Outlet store where they sell a lot of the latest styles of Lee jeans at discounted prices. Lee jeans came out with a line called Riders and they come in straight or curvier. They have elastic in the waistband and stretch material, but the elastic is not visible. This is very impressive because I can’t even count the pairs of jeans that will have a big gap in the back. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you are one of the lucky people that jean makers cater to. The gap in the back is what happens when you have a smaller waist and curvier, fuller hips and thighs. You usually need to settle for the gap so your hips and thighs don’t look like they’re stuffed in sausage casings. The good news is, the elastic band in the waist eliminates the dreaded gap.
I did try on both of the Riders by Lee curvier and the straight and I found the straight to have a gap in the back so it covers both body types. The next feature of these jeans is that they instantly slim you. When I saw this on the label, I thought I was reading it wrong, but guess what? It really does make you look a little longer and leaner. Hey, I’ll take a little slimming any way I can get it.
Another quality of these Lee jeans is the color, which is a very dark blue and it is also the color that I bought, and it has retained it’s color through numerous washings. They also comes in a washed out, lighter blue color. After I found this great pair of jeans, I saw a rack of dress slacks by Lee, that also come with the elastic in the band technology and they come in khaki, black, navy blue and gray. Needless to say I was a very happy shopper just to know that when I do need dress slacks I can find a pair that will fit.
You may be wondering what is the cost for such great fitting jeans. We all know that the sky is the limit as far as jean prices go, but these are a very affordable $21.00. I was told by the sales associate that these Lee jeans are also available at Wal-Mart.
