Amigurumi, Craft Articles, Free Crochet Patterns, Snoopy

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting little stuffed dolls or stuffed animals (see my article How to Make Amigurumi Dolls for more information on this fun crochet craft). If you love to crochet, and if you love dogs, you are going to love crocheting these adorable Amigurumi dogs!

All the patterns for the Amigurumi dogs are free. You do not have to register on any of the sites to get access to the free patterns. Just click the link and print out the instructions! Then start making some Amigurumi dogs to add to your Amigurumi collection! Or you can donate these sweet pets to your local pet shelter so they can sell them as a way to raise funds.

Amigurumi Dog #1 – Funmigurumi Poochie named Toby: This poochie named Toby is such a cute little Amigurumi dog. You will see him in yellow, but he would look just as fine and dandy in any color. He looks very much like a Schnauzer dog. Make sure you scroll down the page of the instructions to see Toby’s beautiful tail. Amigurumi Dog #2 – Cute Little Doggie: This tiny little Amigurumi dog looks a bit like Snoopy, the Charlie Brown beagle, except this crocheted dog has three black spots and Snoopy only has one black spot on his back. The black spots on the Amigurumi dog are sewn on, so you can add only one spot if you want a Snoopy look-alike. This pattern is very easy to follow and it also gives you a link with instructions on how to make a magic ring (everyone who crochets needs to know how to make a magic ring). Amigurumi Dog #3 – Balloon Dog: What a creative pattern this is for an Amigurumi dog! This little dog looks like a dog made out of those long, skinny balloons, like the balloon animals you would buy at a carnival. The person who came up with this balloon dog pattern also has a balloon horse and a balloon giraffe (the dog is the blue animal). Read through the instructions before you start and note that some of the instructions are for all the balloon animals, then some are just for the balloon dog. Just don’t get them mixed up or you may end up with a balloon creature no one can recognize! To get the free instructions for the Balloon Dog click here.

Amigurumi Dog #4 – Lollypup Dog: This Amigurumi dog looks as sweet as a lollipop! This multi color pet also has photos of how it can easily be turned into Snoopy from Charlie Brown (even a better version of Snoopy than the Cute Little Doggie above). To get the free instructions for the Lollypup Dog click here.

Amigurumi Dog #5 – Petite Pit Bull: If you are a fan of the Pit Bull, then you will want this tiny pit bull dog in your Amigurumi collection. Or you can make this crocheted dog to give as a gift to someone who owns a pit bull. This free pattern is in PDF format so you will need Adobe or another PDF reader to open the file. To see just the photos of this pit bull click here. To get the free instructions for the Petite Pit Bull click here.
