Chambers Kitchen: Minneapolis Restaurant Review

Bento Box, Thai Basil

Many hotels have restaurants, but most aren’t are as special and delicious as Chambers Kitchen. Chambers Kitchen is located inside Chambers hotel. The restaurant is actually quite large and take up two floors of the hotel. Chambers Kitchen includes a main dining area on the lower level that has a giant glass wall that lets you look directly into the kitchen so you can watch the chefs preparing your food. There is also a beautiful open air courtyard. Chambers Kitchen is easily accessible whether you are staying at the hotel or not.

Chambers Kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The also have a Sunday brunch. They are open from 6:30Am everyday, they close at 10:00PM Monday-Thursday, 11:00PM Friday and Saturday nights, and 9:00PM on Sundays. Reservations are not required, but if you want to avoid a wait at dinner and busy times reservations are recommended. The dress is dressy casual in the main restaurant, with the courtyard and rooftop lounge being dressier.

Dinner at Chambers Kitchen is not cheap, it can easily cost $100 for a party of two. The Entrees start in price around $19 for their delicious Char Grilled Chicken with a kumquat-lemon grass dressing. Their Berkshire Pork chop is one of my favorites it is topped with a smoked chili glaze and served with asparagus. The pork chop costs $26 but is well worth the price.

Lunch at Chambers Kitchen is a excellent way to try the food without as much expense as dinner. They have many sandwiches at salads that cost around $10-$15. They also have a 20 minute express bento box lunch, there are several choices that all include ice cream or sorbet and they all cost $15. My favorite Bento box lunch is the chicken satay with chili lime dip, it is the perfect amount of spiciness. I also love their chicken and coconut soup, it is creamy and cooling to the palate. You should also be sure to try one if Chambers restaurants fresh homemade sodas. The Ginger ale is my favorite, but their Lemon thyme lemonade and cherry yuzu are also delicious.

Be sure to save room for dessert. Chambers Kitchen features typical desserts like warm chocolate cake and Blackberry souffle. In my pinion the best dessert at Chambers Kitchen are the more unique items like their warm rhubarb sesame crisp, Thai basil panna cotta, and my favorite creme friche cheesecake. The creme friche cheesecake is served with a very unexpected guava chili sorbet and kumquats. I love the cheesecake because it is creamy and similar to typical cheesecakes but the guava chili sorbet makes it so unique like no other cheesecake I have ever had before.

If you eat at Chambers Kitchen you are sure to ind a few favorite dishes, that you will make you want to keep returning. I have loved everything that I have tried at Chambers Kitchen, but I have my favorites things that I have to get each time I eat there. Enjoy yourselves at Chambers Kitchen I know I always have.
