Canvas Press – Giveaway! Canvas Print for Your Digital Art

The tag line on Canvas Press’s website:Creating the canvas you want has never been easier” couldn’t be more true. As a professional photographer I know it is always important to work with companies who are easy to do business. More importantly it is critical that the Glicee (pronounced zhee-CLAY) products I provide to my clients are of the best quality and display my images in their best “light.” Glicee is the process of taking a digital image to create fine art prints. The source of those digital images can be your own or you can select from a wide variety of stock images from Canvas Press library.

I recently had the opportunity to test out Canvas Press and was extremely pleased not only with the professional quality but also the easy ordering process and turn-around time. I highly recommend Canvas Press and have them at the top of my list for ordering photo canvas art for my client’s home or office. When you need a canvas print, look no further than Canvas Press.

Canvas Press’s CEO, Doak Walker, has a hands-on approach and personally reviews many of the products that are developed in their studio. Doak’s mother, who is a professional photographer, helped influence his love of photography and in the creation of his business. Customer service is central to their core value and it shows.

As I mentioned it was extremely easy to upload my digital image from my laptop to their website. Once the image was uploaded I was able to easily pick the canvas size, standout dimension (distance from the wall), style and wrap finish. Once the image was cropped to my liking, I selected the color option (which includes as-is, black and white or sepia – all FOR FREE). Some companies charge for this service. Minor color correction is only $15 per image or $50 for heavy retouching.

Besides canvas, you also have the option of selecting metallic prints. Metal prints offer high resolution detailing achieved by bonding the printed image to a coated sheet of brushed aluminum. Brush strokes add texture while the aluminum creates a reflective 3-dimesional quality.

There’s also have the option to select Oilworks on canvas which creates an oil painting effect to your print. For $15 you can add text to the image. It’s a great option which other labs do not even offer. For a graduation photo or special occasion you might want to enter the date or name of the event which is a wonderful feature. Or you can add your studio name in scripted lettering.

Currently I have a contest running on my personal blog by clicking Parent Grapevine. Contest starts February 29th and runs until Friday March 9th at 12 noon Pacific time. Leave a comment along with your email address and I will select one winner using random.org.

Good luck!

Full disclosure: I was provided with one free 16×20 canvas print in order to provide an honest review of their product, ease-of-use and customer service. All opinions are my own. I totally loved working with Canvas Press! I highly recommend them.
