Wolfgang Puck French Onion Soup Review

Chuck Roast, French Onion Soup, Nutritional Facts, Wolfgang Puck

Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion organic soup is perfect for making classic French Onion soup with melted provolone cheese over a thick slice of brown bread. Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion is also great for quick and easy crock pot dinners.

I purchase Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion soup on a regular basis along with my other favorite soups: Amy’s Alphabet soup and Wolfgang Puck’s Chicken and Dumpling soup.

For my review, I purchased Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion soup at Publix grocery store.

Here are the nutritional facts regarding Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion Organic Soup and how to use the soup to make quick and easy crock pots dinners such as barbeque and pot roast.

No. 1: The nutritional facts for Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion: 90 calories per serving; 3 grams of fat; 1 gram of fiber, 6 grams of sugar and less than 1 gram of protein.

No. 2: The Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion soup is advertised as now having 32 percent less sodium with 660 mg. per serving.

No. 3: One of my favorite ways to use Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion is for making a quick and easy crock pot roast beef dinner. Purchase a chuck roast or leaner cut of beef and place in a slow cooker. Salt and pepper the roast after rinsing it. Pour Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion soup on top. Add cut up pieces of carrots and whole red potatoes and cook on high for 2 or 3 hours. Then cook on low for three more hours or until meat is tender. You can add celery to cook the last two hours.

No. 4: Use Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion soup to make barbeque beef sandwiches. Follow directions above for making a roast. Cut up the roast once it is extremely tender and mix with your favorite barbeque sauce.

No. 5: Use Wolfgang Puck’s French Onion soup to make French Onion Soup. Simply top the soup with brown bread and provolone or another favorite cheese before heating.

If you have roast beef leftover after making a roast, it’s easy to turn the leftover carrots, celery, potatoes and beef into a quick and easy crock pot vegetable soup dinner. Just reserve the juices and add V-8 vegetable juice, seasoning and mixed frozen vegetables for a quick and easy beef vegetable soup. Simmer all ingredients in a crock pot.

Wolfgang Puck has a number of tasty organic soups including: Butternut Squash, Classic Minestrone, Creamy Tomato, Chicken with Wild Rice, Old-Fashioned Potato, Chicken Egg Noodle, Country Tomato with Basil and Lentil and Vegetable.

It’s fun to get creative with Wolfgang Puck soups. Unlike some French Onion soups, the pieces of onion are somewhat small, which I like when making soups since I serve people who are picky about onions. The soup has a rich, flavorful and hearty taste that is not too salty. I can also taste of hint of garlic, which is not too overpowering.
