Where to See Fireworks in Buffalo, NY

Fantasy Island

If fireworks are your thing, you’re in luck if you live in the Buffalo area because this 4th of July season they will be lighting up the sky all over the place. This tradition is often offered free to the public and makes for a great evening with family or friends. Bring a blanket to sit on and some popcorn to munch on to make for an enjoyable time. Get there early for a good spot and don’t bother trying to rush out right after they’re over because there will probably be quite a traffic jam.

I’ve put together a list of fireworks celebrations in the Western New York area over the next week. Considering many are free, check out as many as you have time for because this only happens once a year.

Sunday, 7/1: Fireworks start at 10PM at the Friendship Festival. This even is held at Mather Arch in Fort Erie, Ontario, not far from the border. The Festival is also worth checking out if you have some time during the day.
