Wall Hanging Fish Tank 3.6L by Fish Bubbles – Product Review

Beta Fish, Fighting Fish, Petco

I had a fighting fish at home whose home was a giant wine glass. The wine glass was a nice neat home for him, but the way that the bowl was set up it could easily be tipped over. When I came across a fish tank from Fish Bubbles that hung on the wall I thought it was awesome, and wanted to add it to one of my walls at home.

It was shaped to look like a bubble popping out of the wall, I thought that this would look best in our bathroom.

The bubble shaped wall hanging dome cost me $19.99 at my local Petco. Although the price was a bit steep, I didn’t care. Not only would this make an awesome safe new home for our Beta fish, but it would also look neat in the bathroom so I bought it anyway.

The bubble came with blue rocks, a plastic aquarium plant for decoration, and a screw, to hammer into the wall for the tank to hang on.

At home I first had to decide where in the bathroom I wanted it. I figured placing it next to the wall mirror would look best. However I needed a beam to ensure the tank did not fall down. So instead I had to place it on the opposite wall from the toilet. Something nice to look out while your doing your deed. I hammered the nail into the beam and hung up the tank to make sure it was secure. Next I filled it with water, added the pebbles and plastic plant.

All I needed to do now was introduce the fish into his new home. I poured my beta into the new dome tank and watched. He seemed okay at first, but after awhile I noticed he began to swim around in the tank in an odd way. He was not used to this odd shaped tank, and it took him awhile to figure out how to maneuver around in the tank.

About a week later, I noticed he would float to the top on his side. It seemed he did not know how to rest easily in this bowl, as his room had been literately cut in half. After awhile though he got used to it and his odd swimming patterns disappeared.

Everyone who uses our bathroom always compliments on the bowl and asks where we bought it.

The tank looks so nice in their and became such a hit that I wanted to buy more of them. After looking online at www.petco.com for more bowls, I became frustrated with the search tool, and looked elsewhere online for wall hanging bowls.

I came across another site at www.alibaba.com where they were selling the same wall hanging bowls with a catch. This site was offering different shapes in different sizes. I didn’t order though, because I wanted to make sure they were the same size as the bowl I had already bought from Petco. I went back to Petco to buy a second bowl to hang directly under the one I had in the bathroom.

I now have 2 of these bowls in the bathroom that really give it that under the sea type vibe which goes along with our bathrooms sea theme.

Clean up of the Fish Bubbles Wall Hanging Fish Tank is a cinch. You simply remove the tank from the screw and change the water. I recommend changing the water every 2-3 days to ensure the health of your beta. I also recommend you do not put any other type of fish into this tank besides the beta/fighting fish. Other fish require much more oxygen than the beta does. Other fish also require more room than what this tank has to offer. This wall hanging tank should be strictly used on beta, nothing else.

I recommend the Fish Bubbles Wall Hanging Fish Tank, it looks elegant no matter where you place it, and it really livens up the wall where you place it. It’s like an interesting work of art, that everyone will be asking about.

I have not seen these tanks anywhere else besides Petco and other online sites, although I am sure you will be able to find them in fish stores and local pet stores.
