Truth About Fast Shake by QuickTrim

Heart Palpitations, Korean Ginseng

Fast-Shake by QuickTrim is one of the latest protein shakes – this one endorsed by Khloe and Kim Kardashian of the reality TV show, “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”

I don’t watch Keeping up with the Kardashians, but even if I did, I would know Khloe and Kim are not thin simply because of the QuickTrim diet products. It’s probably a safe bet they would be thin without or without weight loss protein shakes. And we don’t even know if any celebrity endorsers actually use the products they endorse.

I wanted to try Fast-Shake because I liked a few of the ingredients such as the soy base protein blend, green tea extract and coconut oil powder.

I’d like to think I had a more analytical reason for trying the product rather than being sucked in by their slogan. “How Hot Can You Be. Quick Trim. Live Your Dream.”

Here are a few of my observations -both good and bad — about QuickTrim Fast-Shake. I tried the chocolate flavor:

No. 1: QuickTrim Fast-Shake left a bad aftertaste in my mouth that did not go away for hours. It was not bad enough to make me throw away my canister, but it was noticeable.

No. 2: I felt mild heart palpitations or a racing heart after having a scoop of the fast-shake. I also drink a lot of black tea and coffee so I would recommend cutting out caffeine while using Fast-Shake. I did not feel comfortable having more than 1 shake a day because of the mild hand tremors and heart racing.

No. 3: Fast-Shake by QuickTrim has 110 calories a serving which is nice because you can mix it with ice water in a blender or beef it up by adding yogurt, banana, peanut butter, berries or rice milk.

No. 4: QuickTrim only has 8 grams of protein per serving so, if you are using it as a meal replacement, you should add another protein source to it. Don’t double the serving of Fast Shake since it may act as too much of a stimulant. (SEE NO. 2)

No. 5: One serving contains 7 grams of sugar which is acceptable, and 3 grams of fat which is also fine.

No. 6: The Fast Shake fiber blend contains coca, soy fiber, guar gum, inulin from the extract of chicory root. Total fiber is 3 grams.

No. 7: The metabolic blend for Fast-Shake includes green tea extract, Korean ginseng root extract, ginger root extract and raspberry ketones.

No. 8: A so-called botanical antioxidant blend in QuickTrim’s Fast Shake includes grape seed extract and berry extracts

No. 9: The QuickTrim Fast Shake label says it includes more than 100 nutrients.

No. 10: QuickTrim Fast-Shake did provide me with extra energy, but maybe too much.

Overall, I did not like the aftertaste of Fast Shake. I was worried by the mild heart palpitations and the uncontrolled shaking of my hands. QuickTrim’s Fast-Shake is certainly a better alternative to weight loss surgery and dangerous diet pills. I can’t say it’s the worst product on the market, just not the one for me.

Bottom line on QuickTrim fast shake: Thumb down. I’d be more likely to start watching, “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” than try fast shake again.
