Colorado has some of the finest ski resorts any where and with an average snowfall between 250 and 350 inches and more, there is plenty to go around. The season starts early, in the beginning of November and lasts until April, so there is plenty of time to come more than once, and once you come you will want too. Cooper Mountain Ski Resort is located just 75 miles west of Denver, making it an easy drive for locals and for visitors. And there is more than skiing at Cooper Mountain. When you come in from the slopes you can go to the Copper Mountain Athletic Club, take a swim in the 25-yard pool, work out in the weight room, improve your endurance with the cardio equipment, and soak away the aches and pains of the day in the hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms. Solitude Station BBQ
Cajun specialties at the top of the mountain Solitude offers a homemade crawfish etouffee, jambalaya and gumbo, as well as favorites like burgers, pizza and soup. They also have a kids menu.
Flyers Soup Shack.
There are ten cozy seats are available inside and make a great place to warm up over a bowl of hot and savory soup.
T-Rex Grill
This one has everything from beer to burgers and there is a kids special.
Now, if you are looking for a place to stay they have 10 different options to choose from, with prices starting at $125 a night. They range from hotel rooms to 5 bedroom houses and some of them even allow pets.
