Top 5 Best Fiber Products Review

Fiber One

It’s obvious that Americans aren’t getting enough fiber; just look at all of the clever ways we’re trying to hide it in our food! There are many different fiber products on the market, and even though I try to eat healthy meals, I feel that I still struggle to get enough fiber in my diet. So I’ve tried many different fiber products in search of something I like, and I’ve found that there are actually quite a few fiber products that are really tasty. So if you are suffering from constipation and other tummy troubles, try some of the fiber products in this review and you’ll start to feel a lot better:

Fiber One oats & chocolate bars – Fiber has never been so tasty! These yummy bars are rather sweet, loaded with chocolate chips and covered with a chocolate drizzle. They’re gooey, filling, and make a perfect indulgent snack or quick breakfast. The bars contain 140 calories apiece, 4 grams of total fat, and no trans fat. Each provides 35 percent of your daily value of fiber. The bars may not have as much fiber as some of the other products in this review, but they pack a powerful punch for their small size. Fiber One has a lot of other amazing fiber products, including muffins, toaster pastries, and even lowfat milkshakes, but I consider these bars their best fiber products. Other flavors available include strawberry, peanut butter (which is also pretty delicious), apple streusel, caramel, and chocolate mocha. My only gripe about these fiber bars is that they contain high fructose corn syrup, but I guess you can’t win them all.

Fiber One strawberry yogurt – My second favorite Fiber One product has to be the yogurt. It’s basically tastes just like any other strawberry yogurt products you buy, but with 20 percent of your daily value of fiber added. Each box of the product has four containers of yogurt with just 50 calories each, so it makes a perfect snack for dieters. Plus the yogurt contains Vitamin D, calcium, and zero fat. Yogurt is also a great product for those who suffer from constipation due to mild lactose intolerance; it’s a way to get the nutrients you need from dairy products without the stomach upset and constipation. In fact, I prefer eating my cereal mixed in with yogurt instead of milk. I find it more satisfying, tastier, and easier on my belly. Since this is one of the fiber products with the lowest amount of fiber on this list, you might want to mix it up with the product below to get a big dose of fiber in the morning.

All-Bran Bran Buds – I know this isn’t one of the most exciting cereals on the market when it comes to fiber products, but I sometimes get tired of having sickeningly sweet cereals for breakfast, and these wholesome crunchy bits really hit the spot (they’re a little like Grape Nuts, except loaded with fiber). The tiny pellets pack a powerful fiber punch with a whopping 51 percent of your daily value for 1/3 of a cup, which just contains 70 calories. They’re slightly sweet (one again, a product that’s sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, but it has so much fiber that I have to forgive) and super crunchy. I really love mine mixed with a few spoonfuls of strawberry yogurt or with soy milk, which will add some protein to the mix. Top of your bowl of cereal with some sliced strawberries, bananas, or fresh blueberries, and, trust me, you won’t be thinking about lunch at 10:30 in the morning. Just be forewarned: there is a lot of fiber in this cereal, so you might feel like you’re suffering from constipation for the first few days you use it until your body adjusts. But once it does, this is one of the best fiber products you can buy to help you feel full, keep your diet on track, and make your tummy feel normal.

All-Bran Fiber Drink Mix in Red Raspberry – Like Fiber One, All-Bran makes a wide variety of fiber products. I honestly would not have tried their drink mix had I not gotten a free sample in the mail, but now I’m hooked! The drink mix is in convenient packets that you can put in your purse and mix with a bottle of water, and they contain 40 percent of your daily value of fiber apiece. I was so afraid that I would be able to taste the fiber in the drink mix or see weird chunks of stuff floating around in it, but it tasted a lot like a grown-up version of Kool-Aid. So it tastes great and has lots of fiber, but what about those calories? Well, each pack only has 15 calories, making it a refreshing, tasty way to keep your diet and digestive system on track.

Kashi Ranchero Beans – Most of the products on this list are advertised as fiber products, but I decided to add an all-natural, delicious frozen entrée to this list that would be perfect for a filling lunch or a side to have with your dinner that’s naturally full of fiber. It’s a mildly spicy dish with black and pinto beans, fire-roasted corn, Kashi’s yummy pilaf blend, red peppers and onions, and a ranchero chipotle sauce. Like other Kashi frozen entrees, it tastes about ten times better than your usual TV dinner, and it contains 46 percent of your daily value fiber and 15 percent of your daily value of protein. Plus it’s vegan and only contains 340 calories. Basically, if you had this for lunch and some Bran Buds for breakfast, you’d almost already cover your daily fiber intake with few calories.

So I hope you enjoy trying some of the best fiber products available. Fiber is an important part of dieting and keeping your digestive tract healthy, so if you’re feeling sluggish and suffering from constipation, try a few of the products from this review for about two weeks and see if it helps you get your diet and your colon moving in the right direction (which is hopefully towards the healthy foods in the grocery store and the bathroom more often).
