The band Aerosmith came rocking along in the early 1970’s. They actually started forming in the 1960’s. This is a great band and these top 10 best songs by Aerosmith are my personal greatest hits picks by them! Here is my list!
1. Toys In The Attic. This fast moving, hard rocking hit is a very cool song. It has the unique sound that only Aerosmith can make. This song stood out in the rock sound of that time and it is memorable. It’s power and fast pace blew many rock music critics away. In a good way! A great 70’s rock song.
2. Dream On. A dreamy dream of a classic rock song that is one of the most popular songs by this band. The moving lyrics, singing and, well, everything about this song leaves a lasting impression that rings in the musical ears long after the song is over. This is one of my very favorite songs by Aerosmith. It is worthy of being on my top 10 best songs by Aerosmith list. A passionate and very emotional song that will be played on classic rock and roll stations forever. We all have dreams. Dream on. This song climbs toward heaven steadily. It’s message is “Dream on until your dreams come true” and who can argue with that logic? Not me.
3. Sweet Emotion. This song does indeed have sweet emotion. It is clever, cute, funny and loveable. It has been featured in movies. It is a very unique song with it’s own classic rock Aerosmith trademark sound. It even goes beyond that wonderfully with it’s deep, smooth and almost underwater feel. This song is a treat to listen to. It is also still played on classic rock stations constantly and it probably always will be. It is worthy!
4. Back In The Saddle. A hard rocking song that has guts. It has power. It is tough. I love this song. It always makes me smile and tap my foot. This song brings to mind a hard rock rodeo rounding up great sounds and celebrating triumph. An inspiring rock song. Don’t miss this song. It will lasso you!
5. Angel. Oh my, this song is a winner. Sigh. It is romantic. It is sweet. It is soft yet, it carries you along with it’s perfect pace and fairy tale quality. Great singing, lyrics and music. This is an 80’s rock hit and it set a neat beat of love to rock and roll. Steven Tyler outdoes himself on this song. His singing quality is high and unforgettable, much like it is in the song ” Dream On. ” This song was written by Steven Tyler and Desmond Child. No need to say more. Except, beautiful work.
6. Janie’s Got A Gun. A great song that is emotional, passionate and it tells a story. This was a 90’s hit for Aerosmith. It truly brought this talented rock band into the 90’s with style. I admire the guts in this song. We all want to grab a gun by the time this song is finished. For a darn good reason! This song deals with child abuse and incest. Aerosmith tackled this subject with force and talent. Bravo. It deals with the real emotions. This song is a Grammy winner, by the way. Fantastic!
7. The Other Side. This 90’s Aerosmith hit is swinging, rocking and it is constant in all of that. A steady beat that I love. This song always had a curious and adventuresome feel to it, to me. I like it. It’s different. And good. Loving you has got to be like the devil and the deep blue sea” is the song lyric that sticks in my mind. Yep. Good description.
8. I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing. This song is a number 1 hit for Aerosmith. It is one of their best songs, in my opinion. It truly proves how talented this band really is. They are a 70’s, 80’s and 90’s hit making band, at this point. I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing ” is featured in a movie and , well, most of us just loved this tear jerking, romantic and heart warming song! Totally! Sniff. Hand me a rose and a tissue. Thank you. This song is certainly one of the top 10 best songs by Aerosmith. A greatest hits list candidate. A winner! This song is featured in the movie “Armageddon” and Steven Tyler’s daughter Liv Tyler stared in this film. Talented family!
9. Jaded. Oh, what a cool song. It is trendy and it was a huge hit for this band. A song that Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and all of the rest of this band can be so proud of. Yes, there are the early Aerosmith songs, that are great and then, there was “Jaded” which introduced a whole new generation of rockers to this excellent band. Very cool. Always room for more rock fans. They go backwards, to the classics, you know? Yep. Fans check it all out, if they like. I like.
10. Last Child. I end this top ten best songs by Aerosmith list with a timeless classic. It may not have been as popular as many of the other Aerosmith songs but, it is worthy of a spot on my greatest hits personal picks list article. This song is written by Steven Tyler and Brad Whitford. A cool, funny, witty and fun tune. It entertains and it rocks with a cool bluesy feel and a very funky beat that defines the band Aerosmith. This song slinks and slithers up on you. I love it! It even mentions Tallahassee Florida in it. Great city. Great song.

On a serious note, Steven Tyler, Aerosmith’s lead singer recently suffered minor neck and other injuries resulting from a fall from the stage while performing.
