Inspirational Music, Sick Puppies

So many songs tell life’s story, reminding us of how down and out we are, how tough love is, and how we deserve more. Some are vulgar, some are bland, some never should have been recorded in the first place. Then, among the dirty oysters you find a pearl. Here are some songs that pearls with heart poured into them by both the songwriters and the singers. They will lift you up, encourage you to keep on keeping on, and live life to the fullest. Enjoy this list of ten of the most inspirational videos on-line.

1. Martina McBride always seems to have a song to encourage the weary soul. Her vocals, combined with the passion with which she sings can lift you above the monotony of any day. This song performed at the CMT awards, and a new release for Martina McBride may, according to her, “heal, inspire, or encourage you.” She wants “Anyway” to do whatever it was meant to do in your life.

2. The next video is a totaly different genre, but portrays a great message from a heartfelt song by Sick Puppies. The video for “All the Same” is from their newly released album Dressed Up As Life. This moving video has come to be known as “the Free Hugs Vidoe.”

3. 43 years ago, a boy named Richard was nearly strangled by his umbilical cord during birth. He suffered severe brain damage, and the doctors told the family to institutionalize him. The doctors didn’t believe there was anything going on in his brain. His parents knew differently, as his eyes followed him around the room. Their love for their son out-weighed the trials they would encounter. When Rick was eleven, his parents took him to Tuft’s University in hopes that the engineering department could help devise a way for him to speak. They did. The incredible commitment of this father and mother is inspirational, but not only did they stand by their son, Dick Hoyt, the father, took it farther. Dick pushed him 26 miles in marathons, pulled him in a dingy while swimming 2.4 miles, and devised other ways for his son to ski with him, mountain climb, and bike. Dick Hoyt says the greatest reward is seeing a huge smile on his son’s face. This song and video are dedicated to the Hoyt family, and the love and commitment they have shared with their son. This video will bless you, and make you go hug your own kids. What kind of difference would it make in this world if everyone had someone like Dick Hoyt to move mountains for them?

4. Everyone is familiar with the next song and video. It is an inspirational song from the rockin’ country sounds of Tim McGraw. It’s the story of a man who has been given only a short time to live. The man’s response to his diagnoses is the answer we should all adopt for every day of life. Enjoy “Live Like You Were Dying.”

5. Browsing through the videos I stumbled upon one I had never seen. As the comments affirm, it is a very “peaceful, and powerful” video. It is encouraging and uplifting. Sometimes life seems so chaotic and overwhelming, this video reminds us that things can be changed by “The Power of One.”

6. Maybe there is someone in your life, that one person, that you can always depend on being by your side. Perhaps they are your inspiration. It may be your spouse, your family, or your best friend. Regardless of who it is, you know that if a crisis comes they will be there. Through the good and the bad, when you are weak and when you’re strong, whether you are up or down you can look to your side and find this special person there. This song will inspire you and your loved one: “There You Are.”

7. The last song sums up the inspiration, and love that we recieve from God and others in this life. Perhaps this will articulate the words you have have been unable to express. “You Raise Me Up” honors the one who lifts you above life’s shadows and dissapointments.
