The Best Places to Buy Children Clothing Cheap

Children Clothing, children's clothes, Childrens Clothing, Toddler Clothing

Children clothes can be so expensive these days. Children can be very hard on their clothes and they can outgrow them very quickly. Therefore, it is very hard, at least for me, to pay high prices for children clothing. Sure the clothes from the high prices stores are gorgeous and may possibly last longer than the cheaper priced clothes but there are other ways to buy children clothes cheaper.

There are mainly three different types of children clothes. The first type is clothing in good condition that your child would be able to wear anywhere. These clothes will have little to no shown wear and would have no stains, rips or tears. Your child would wear these clothes for going to town for shopping, over to grandma’s house for a visit, to school and even to a dentist appointment. Just normal everyday clothing. The next type are the fancy clothes. These are the dresses and suits that your child would wear to parties, for family photographs and even for the holidays. These clothes you would want little to no shown wear and no stains, rips or tears. The last type of children clothing would be “play clothes. Play clothes are clothing that you don’t mind letting your children get dirty in. These are clothes that may have some sort of imperfecton like a stain, marker or ink pen mark or small hole. Play clothes are the ones that your children wear to play outside and wear to do arts and crafts like painting or using markers. While shopping for children clothing you will want to think about the type of clothing that you are looking for.

One of the easiest and cheapest places to buy children clothing cheap is the world’s largest online auction site; Ebay. On Ebay you can find any type of clothing you desire for your children. You can buy single items or even large “lots” of clothing. Lots are mainly just a large amount of items sold for one price. So if you purchased a lot of six pieces of toddler clothing you would receive six items for your price. Most people prefer to purchase lots over single pieces unless the single piece is of high quality or is a highly desired item. On Ebay items range in price from one cent to as high as people will bid them up to. I’ve purchased many many articles of clothing for my three children from Ebay. Many for around a dollar or two. Also on Ebay you purchase the higher quality clothing from places like Gap, Old Navy, The Children’s Place and even Carter’s for much lower prices. You could get an outfit on Ebay for $3 that would cost you $20 at Old Navy. So it pays to check out Ebay when shopping for children clothing. Make sure that you read all item descriptions completely. The description will inform you of the type of clothing the items are and if there are any imperfections on the clothes like stains, missing buttons, loose seams or anything that you would want to know before purchasing the items.

Yard sales, garage sales and/or tag sales, what ever you call them in your part of the world, are all great places to buy children clothing for cheap. Sometimes you can find perfect and nearly new clothing for very cheap. Some people will even offer you a cheaper deal if you buy several items instead of just one. All you need to do is ask nicely. The worst they can do is refuse your request. Make sure that you look over each item of clothing before you buy it. This is when knowing what type of clothing you are looking for can be helpful. If you are looking for clothing in perfect condition then you’ll want to make sure there are no stains or tears on the clothing.

Lastly there are flea markets, swap meets and/or bazaars. The definition of a flea market from Dictionary.com is “a market, often outdoors, consisting of a number of individual stalls selling old or used articles, curios and antiques, cut-rate merchandise, etc.”. A flea market is a wonderful place to not only find clothes but to find almost anything you could ever dream to need. Flea markets work almost exactly like a yard sale. You will want to thoroughly inspect each item of clothing that you are considering purchasing. Check for all of the previously stated imperfections. An alternative to an actual flea market are online flea markets. You can find an online flea market or swap meet by doing a simple search on any search engine. I know IVillage.com has a great Flea Market Board. You’ll want to purchase from someone who is willing to describe any imperfections and will willing share photos of the clothing in question.

In the end, you do not have to spend a fortune on good quality childrens clothing. You just have to know where to look. Happy shopping!
