Sparkling Cider by Martinelli’s: Review

Cider, Nutrition Information

Sparkling Cider is a refreshing drink that can be enjoyed all year round. Check out Sparkling Cider by Martinelli’s and see for yourself what a great product this is!

Price

While doing my recent shop, I came across a bottle of Sparkling Cider by Martinelli’s. It cost $1.89 for a 750ml (24.4fl oz) bottle of cider, which I found reasonable. As I had not had any apple cider for a long time, I put a bottle into my trolley.

Background on S. Martinelli & Company

According to the product information on the bottle, S. Martinelli & Company was set up in 1868. It is a fourth generation business that is run in the Pajaro Valley, which is near Monterey Bay, California. The climate and soil produce fine apples that can then be made into apple cider and alcoholic beverages such as Champagne Cider. More than 50 Gold Medals have been awarded to the Martinelli Gold Medal apple products, which includes their Sparkling Cider.

Taste

I am keen on the taste of apple juice which means I also like the taste of most apple ciders. I was not disappointed when I tried Sparkling Cider by Martinelli’s. It was crisp and delicious. The cider also had a lovely apple aroma too, which I particularly liked.

Nutrition Information

There are 140 calories in every 240ml (8fl oz) serving of Sparkling Cider and 3 total servings in each bottle of Sparkling Cider. This product is fat, cholesterol and sodium free. It was refreshing to taste a drink that did not have any salt added to it. There are 120mg of potassium, 35g of carbohydrates and 31g of sugar. Sparkling Cider provides 100% of a person’s daily Vitamin C requirement. I was pleased with the fact that this drink did not contain any fat, cholesterol or sodium. But the sugar content is rather high, which would make this an unsuitable choice for diabetics.
