Salty Feet: Humco Epsom Salt Review

Dasani, Epsom Salts, Foot Fungus, Sore Feet, Swollen Feet

When I started my first full-time job at 18 years old, I had to stand on my feet from 12 to 16 hours a day at our local nursing home. Maybe I just have poor feet but I was in pain from the first day. I had pain, swelling, and aching going on. Of course I was none too happy and could barely walk the next day. My entire family chimed in:

My mother said “Epsom salts will make the swelling go down in your feet.”

My uncle said “Epsom salts always work for my sore feet.”

My father said: “Get some Epsom salts and it will help.”

Those are just three of the remarks from my family about how great Epsom salts are for sore, swollen feet. Walking gingerly, I went to the grocery store and picked up some Epsom salts. I went home and soaked my feet. Right away, my feet felt some relief. Maybe it was from the warm water soak. I soaked my sore feet in Epsom salts every night after work and multiple times a day when my feet would swell. It always relieved the pain and soreness while slowly making the swelling go away. I know of no other product that does this. Everyone you talk to will recommend Epsom salts for swollen, sore feet as it works!

I have also used Epsom salts in my bath water for achiness and painful joints. It does help some with my joints but not as much as it helps my sore feet. I have not used this product for a diuretic or any other condition. My family members have used Epsom salts for a diuretic and sing it’s praises. They said this about using Epsom salts for a diuretic: “Works instantly.” “Nothing better.”

My mother claims that gargling with Epsom salts relieves sore throat as well but I have been too chicken to try that. I gargle with regular salt instead. I am telling you, my family thinks Epsom salts is a cure-all!! The older the person talking about Epsom salts, the more they believe in it’s powers to relieve any ailment that you might have.

Since then, I have used Epsom salts regularly to help with aches and pains and gotten relief. I turn to Humco Epsom Salt when I need relief from aches and pains; I get relief quickly by using this product.

Epsom salts have been used for hundreds of years because it works. Humco Epsom Salt has many uses and can be used in different ways. From rubbing it into a paste to relieve dry skin, putting it in bath water for aches and pains, using it in foot soaks to relieve swelling, stress relief bath soak, diuretic, cold or warm compresses to help insect bites or small cuts, Epsom salts does so many different things. I also learned and was surprised to find that Dasani water has trace amounts of Epsom salts in it. I had no idea!

Other surprising uses for Epsom salts include making fake snow on your windows, getting rid of slugs, taking away oiliness from hair, getting a splinter out more easily, using it as a facial, eliminating foot fungus, and removing blackheads.

Epsom salts have been used for many, many years safely. No harsh chemicals are in this product. You will find many elderly people trust Epsom salts implicitly! This product is also very cheap.

Does this product really work?

A huge yes. I know of no other product that helps with swollen, sore feet. What other product relieves constipation, helps aches and body pains, relieves swelling, and has a dozen other uses? I have also used this product in my bath water when I have a fever and it helps the achiness of the flu. It has worked for great-grandparents around the world for years. I cannot substantiate the claims about it being a diuretic nor relieving sore throat as I have not used the product for that, nor any of the other uncommon uses. I do have many older family members who say this product does help for those ailments as well.

What does this product look like?

Humco Epsom Salt contains “Magnesium Sulfate.” This product comes in a carton similar to a milk carton with a spout. The Epsom salts are white and pebble like. Very small pebbles. They dissolve in warm water but will still have a few that are slower to dissolve. I do not smell any scent from them except maybe a light, very light salty scent. It is not much scent at all. A carton costs $1.00 or less and is sold in drugstores, Walmart, and many other stores around town.

How does this product work?

I am not a physician so had to look up this information as I just did not know. “While increasing your magnesium levels, Epsom Salt also delivers sulfates, which are extremely difficult to get through food but which readily absorb through the skin. Sulfates serve a wide variety of functions in the body, playing a vital role in the formation of brain tissue, joint proteins and the mucin proteins that line the walls of the digestive tract. Sulfates also stimulate the pancreas to generate digestive enzymes and are believed to help detoxify the body’s residue of medicines and environmental contaminants.” Epsom Salt Council
