Review: CVS North Hills, Meridian, Mississippi

Cvs, Massagers

There are three CVS stores in Meridian, Mississippi. Each one of them is similar and yet unique in their own way. I have patronized each store; however, this CVS is my main stop. Here my take on the CVS at the North Hills location in Meridian, Mississippi.

Location

CVS

2401 North Hills Street

Meridian, Mississippi 39305

601-482-3141

The parking lot design is okay. However, it does not have the same amount of parking spaces as the old location a few blocks down the street. The new store location is also harder to get to because it of the increased traffic at the stop light.

Store appearance

CVS in North Hills is located across the street from McDonalds. The recently built store is neat and spacious. Upon entering the store, you can easily locate the shopping carts and reusable CVS bags. The aisles are clearly labeled, and they are never cluttered. CVS sales papers are readily available. They are conveniently located at the store’s entrance. This allows the customer to see which items are on sale. Store specials are clearly marked by yellow stickers, and the bright red price check machine, which is also the coupon machine, is hard to miss because it is located at the end of the second center aisle of the store.

Customer Service

One of the best things about this CVS is its great customer service. The employees are easy to locate if I have a question or need assistance. I don’t feel harassed while I’m shopping. There is no one constantly looking over my shoulders or following me around in the store. They are always smiling and friendly.

The pharmacy is located at the back of the store, and the people who work in that section of the store are also really nice. They are knowledgeable about my prescriptions, and they discuss possible side effects and interaction with me before I leave the store.

CVS offers rain checks on sales items that are not in stock at the time of my visit. All I have to do is tell the cashier, and I am given a rain check that allows me to get the out of stock item at the same price that it is currently on sale for. I have had to do this a few times, and I have never had any problems.

Goods and Services

CVS has a pharmacy, a photo center, over-the-counter medicines, and a wide variety of beauty and health care products. This CVS also carries groceries, toys, coloring books, educational workbooks, electronics, and other unique items like miniature sewing machines and massagers.

Like all CVS stores, the CVS on North Hills Street offers its loyal customers quarterly savings. Every three months, I earn 2% back. This amount is determined by the amount of money I have spent, and this total prints out on the bottom of my sale’s receipt. I am also able to earn Extra Care Bucks. Extra Care Bucks are momentary amounts that print out on the bottom of my receipt, and they can be spent just like cash in the store.

Overall

The CVS on North Hills Street is a wonderful store. I have patronized the other CVS stores in the Meridian area, but this one has the friendliest atmosphere. The groceries and other products are fresh and high quality. The only drawback to this CVS store is that it is often out of the items that are on sale for the week even on a Monday. So, on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest), I would give this CVS a 4.
