Product Review: Pore Shrink by Kiss My Face

Clay Mask, Kiss My Face, Natural Skincare, Pores, Shrink

This always surprises me since I love natural skincare products and I always hear good things about the products from Kiss My Face, but Pore Shrink by Kiss My Face’s Obsessively Organic line is the only product that I tried from the brand with exception of their lip balm.

I tried it after reading about its superior performance in shrinking pores. The description from the package says: “Purge and minimize pores, control acne, sebum, and blemishes, and increase circulation with this deep-cleansing clay mask. Clove, Tea Tree Oil and Lemongrass contain antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties for clean, smooth skin and Aromatherapeutics soothe and provide sensory therapy.

I think the best part about this is that it is very good at shrinking the pores. Pores do feel and look to be smaller, but it is pretty much temporary. I think the pores appear smaller for two or three days at most. But, I think it is good for this kind of product because that is the case with most of the cosmetic products- you have to keep using it to get the results. I consider this a quick fix because, at least for me, I could clearly see the results and it was right after using it. The results get better and better as you keep on using it, and the results at first use is not that great, but if you keep on using it you will definitely see the results. This does shrink pores. It does not eliminate the pores but definitely makes the pores noticeably smaller.

The other thing that this is supposed to do is control oil and acne. I think it helped with both oil and acne, definitely. But, the results are not dramatic and not that fast. I guess it leaves the face feeling tight and dry right after using it and the face does seem a bit clearer but there are a lot of products that give better results.

The texture of this is very thin so it goes on very smooth. It is very light also, so you can apply very thin layer of this easily. It’s good because the bottle is very small for a mask- 2oz, and the price is not super expensive, but not the cheapest out there- about $12. But, it is really invigorating. Well, it stung whenever I applied it and it didn’t really get better. I guess it is the tea tree or something else in there but the stinging sensation is kind of intense, so I was a bit scared whenever came time to use this.

The fragrance is okay. It has a minty and lemony scent which I find calming, and I guess that’s why they included the “sensory therapy” part in the package.

So, you need this if you need to shrink your pores. In my opinion, this is the best for the price if all you are looking to do is to shrink pores and maybe have mild acne or some oil. But, this is really not the best when it comes to controlling oil or acne, so if your main concern is about oil or acne, this is not the best product for you.
