Planning a Little Einsteins Theme Birthday Party

Einstein, Little Einsteins

Little Einstein’s is a fun party theme for any kid. Even the planning process can be fun, which is why you should get your child involved in the planning itself. Following are ideas on everything from games to party hats.

The first thing that you will need for your little Einstein’s Themed Party is your invitations. For this you have several options, you can make them yourself or your can order them online. To make them yourself you can visit your local arts and craft store and pick up the following items: several pieces of large red construction paper, light blue marker, yellow marker, pattern of a rocket ship. Then once you have all of your supplies, trace the rocket ship pattern onto the construction paper. Cut them out, and color on the lights and the windows using the markers. Then on the back of the rocket you can write “Our Mission” and under it, the name of your child (for example Dylan’s party), then you can finish by adding all of the additional party information. Or if that is to much to do you can just visit the Little Einstein’s Disney page and print the invitation. Than all you have to do is write in the correct information. http://tv.disney.go.com/playhouse/grown-ups/celebrationcenter/invitations/le/index.html

If you decide that you would prefer to order them you can visit www.allaboardtoys.com. You can get a pack of 8 invitations for about $4-$5. You can also find little Einstein’s invitations at your local Target, or Wal-Mart store as well.

Once the invitations are sent you are ready for the decorations. The first place you can visit online is www.celebrateexpress.com. There you can purchase an entire party kit. They have several party packs that you can choose from. They have the Little Einstein’s Deluxe Pack which will cost you about $24.99, for 8 plates, cups, forks, spoons, 16 napkins, table cover, one mylar balloon, 24 balloons in two different colors, crepe paper rolls in two colors, curling ribbon, confetti, cake candles, and thank you notes. You can also add additional individual items as well. The two other packages they offer are the Little Einstein’s Deluxe Pack & 8 Favor Boxes for $59.99or the Little Einstein’s Basic Pack for $19.99.

If you want to save some money you can make a few of the decorations yourself. Start buy purchasing streamers, plates, and balloons using the Little Einstein’s theme colors, like read and blue. You can get red streamers, and red and white balloons for example. You can save a lot of money buying your forks and plates in a solid color and in bulk instead of the theme printed items. Then you can purchase the Little Einstein’s themed table cloths, and a few mylar balloons to mix with the solid colored ones. This way everyone can still see that Little Einstein’s is the main theme of the party. Since the Little Einstein’s show focuses on music you can purchase musical notes and instrument cut outs from your local arts and crafts store and hang these around the room that you will be having the party in.

You can also print out Little Einstein paper placemats and add each child’s name to them. If you visit the little Einstein’s official print and color web page you can find pictures of each of the Einstein characters. You can print these out from your computer and have your child color them in. You can them use them as additional decorations and hang them on walls around the room. Or you can turn them into a fun activity, by gluing them onto constructions paper of various colors, and leaving them on the table for the kids to color.

Next on the list is party games and activities. You can very easily set up an art center. In this area you may want to put a drop cloth on the floor so that clean up later will be easier. Than set up several little work area’s or use one big table with plenty of blank construction paper, markers, crayons, glue, and paint sets. When they have each finished making their picture you can hang them up on the wall for all to see.

Another party idea is a treasure hunt. Little Einstein’s are always trying to find something and your children and their guests can do the same. You will need the following items of this activity, small zip lock bags, various musical instrument cutouts (you can make these or purchase them), stapler, and a CD player, CD which plays the sounds of various instruments, giant bag of candy. Then you will need to take each zip lock bag and fill it with candy. Then zip it up and staple it carefully to each instrument cutout. Then hide them around the room where the kids can’t see them. When you are ready to play the game you can play the CD with the various instruments on them. Instruct the children that when they hear a particular instrument that have to look around the room and find it. When they find it they will have a nice treat waiting for them on the back of each. To avoid any fights you can have each child look for a different instrument. This way each child will have their own reward. Of course all of the kids can help each other find their instruments as you play the music.

For additional party activities and ideas you can visit the Disney Little Einstein’s website. For your party favors you can have little candy instruments lollipops (see directions below), crayons, chalk, small coloring books. For the instrument candy you can purchase molds at your local arts and crafts store, along with the different colored chocolate candy, and your lollipop sticks. Then follow the molding directions for melting the candy and placing in your mold, and place the sticks in as well. When they are nice and solid you will have plenty of little musical instruments lollipops. Wrap them and use ribbon to tie little bows to hold the wrap in place. Then you can place them in your goody bags. For themed little Einstein goody bags you can purchase them at your local Target or Wal-Mart store, or at your local art’s and craft store.

Now for the best part the food. For party food you can have what every child love, such as hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza. You can also serve little snacks such as crackers and cheese, or fill a bowl full of popcorn and another bowl full of fruit. Some kids even enjoy vegetable platters if you add a good looking dip to go with it. For the cake it may be a good idea to make cupcakes. This way you will not have to worry about slicing pieces for everyone. You can just make basic cupcake using cupcake mix, (found at your local supermarket), and than add a special decoration to the top. For thank you notes you can also visit the Little Einstein’s Website and print them out and personalize for each friend.
