If you are looking for a fun and exciting place to hold your child’s birthday party Xbos is for you. We had my 3 year olds party there and it was a blast, all I had to do was bring the cake. The soft play area is huge the biggest I have ever seen, there is bowling, pool tables and video games. The video game area was a little lacking in its set up (games just lined around the wall) and number of working games but it was enough to keep the tweens and older kids happy. Xbos pretty much does everything for the party from providing the invitations and goody bags to providing a hostess during party time. Packages range from $170 – $220 for 10 children, not including the birthday child. Included in the party packages are game tokens, all day access to the soft play area, a party room and hostess for 45 minutes, pizza, soda and a Xbos shirt for the birthday child. The bowling party package includes free shoe rental and two lanes for one hour. During these hard economic times Xbos even has a $99 X-stimulus party package for 8 children including the birthday child that includes everything the basic package does except for tokens, party room and hostess. With this package you get a large table in a large open area; this worked great for my three year olds party. The kids did not mind sitting down to eat as long as they could see the soft play area and we were able to see the play areas and video game area.

All young children love Chuck E Cheese’s so it is very hard to go wrong by having a party here. The Dover Delaware location is extremely small but is being renovated so hopefully size will not be an issue much longer. Every birthday party I have gone to or had at Chuck E. Cheese’s has been a huge success. From the singing mouse to the video games children love it, and the pizza is pretty good too. The basic Birthday Star package is $11 for each child and includes decorated party table for 90 minutes, tokens, party host, pizza, soda and some added items for the birthday child including tickets and balloon. For $16 a child you can upgrade to the Superstar package which includes additional tokens, 32 vs. 20 per child, and goody bags.

Miss Heather’s School of Dance is a perfect place for a special and unique birthday party. I have not been to a birthday party at Miss Heather’s but know children and adults who attend classes at both locations. The dance studies are nice and bright and the staff is very professional and friendly. Miss Heather’s School of Dance parties include 2 hours of dance studio use, tables with balloons, and 40 minutes of dance, type your choice, with one of their professional teachers plus a special treat for the birthday child. Birthday parties are $12.50 per child with a 10 child minimum.

If you are looking for a different kind of kid’s party then Creation Station is the place for you, each child gets to pick their pottery and paint colors and then the fun begins. Creation Station is a contemporary ceramics studio in Middletown DE, party packages range from $18 to $25 per child. The basic party package includes reserved studio space for 2 hours, party decorations, balloons, a party coordinator, and a piece of pottery for each child worth up to $15. The all inclusive package for $25 per child also includes a celebration plate signed by each guest for the birthday child, pizza or pretzel pups, soda or juice, paper goods and a piece of pottery worth 20$ for each child to paint. Who doesn’t love a skate party? This is a great ideal for all, young children, tweens and older teens.
The Dover Skating Center is a large, clean rink that is packed full of fun. Party packages range from $50 to $110 for 8 children and include skate rental, pizza and soda. Package prices vary depending on the day of the week and time of the party. Party tables can be reserved for 1 to 3 hour sessions, depending on the package with Friday night parties reserved for teenagers, 13 and up. So bring the skaters and the birthday cake, and get ready for a rocking good time.
