It’s getting to be that time of year again and I’m not talking about harvest. With the latest Rob Zombie adaptation of Halloween hitting the screens, it’s only a matter of time before costume shopping and decorating for the Halloween season begins. With that said below is a guide to the best Haunted Houses in New York. Name: NIGHTMARE

Location: NYC – NOHO Event Center 623 Broadway at Houston Street (enter on Mercer Street)

Open: September 25th to November 7th

Located in New York City, Nightmare claims to be New York’s most horrifying Haunted House. A unique haunted attraction that unfolds as an original horror story! Blood Manor is a first class Haunted Attraction comprised of approximately 5,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways designed to maximize one’s fears. While journeying through Blood Manor on foot one will experience things so intense and creepy it’ll make you scream. The only way out of this creepy haunted house is a secret. Visitors must keep from getting too spooked or they might never escape the dark labyrinth of decrepit Victorian rooms, set with traps of decaying corpses, uncontrolled psychopaths and hungry creatures. Blood Manor is not recommended for children under 14 years of age and is certainly not appropriate for young children. It is designed to be “cutting edge” in presentation and content. While children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, there will be no refunds after a ticket is purchased and a patron has entered the Manor.
