1. “You’ll Think of Me” Keith Urban

This song captures a man who has not come to terms with the loss of his break up. He is drinking and basically saying that she will think of him at one point or another since the relationship with so close. Keith is reminiscing and saying take everything from me we shared, but you will think of me.

2. “Stupid Boy” Keith Urban

This song is about how the man wanted to have the relationship his way with the perfect girl; the only problem was he held her back. Now she is gone.

3. These Days” Rascal Flatts

The singer is reminiscing about his old love from when he was young; she left their small town and married some star in Vegas. The singer has great emotion and only wants her back but knows deep down she is not coming back.

4. “What Hurts the Most” Rascal Flatts

This is a classic country break up song; the singer still clearly has emotions towards the girl he was close to. He seems like he does not have closure, this is an amazing break up song I think we can all relate to.

5. Always On My Mind” Willie Nelson

This country break up song is great; Willie is talking about how even though he may have messed up, the girl in his life was always on his mind. This is a great sad song.

This is a great break up song as the singer is talking about the best girl he has ever had, but they broke up.

Singer tells his love that he will leave a light in the house on just incase she ever comes back; she he leaves every light on so she gets the message. Although they broke up I think it is a sweet gesture.

Singer finds strength and peace after lots of heartbreak from the past. The singer talks about how he is finally moving on from the life he had when he was with the person he loved.

The girl the singer is talking about wishes how she can have her lover back, yet he is off gallivanting with other women. Great country break up song since these words hold true for many of us; singer also tries to win the heart of the girl since her ex-lover is not worth missing.

17. “Holes” Rascal Flatts

Singer does not feel whole since his break up, hence the song title “Holes”. His ex lover or girlfriend left him scared and hurt.

18. I Don’t Have to Wonder” Garth Brooks

The singer feels heartbreak as his ex-love is getting married to another man; he can’t bring himself to go to the wedding even though he was invited.

19. “I Just Wanted You to Know” Mark Chesnutt

Singer still has feelings for his long lost love and wants to talk to her just to hear her voice. This song talks through a story of how the man still has gotten over the relationship but wanted his ex-love to know how hard it was for him.
