Microsoft’s Vista Print Cheaper for Business Cards Than FedEx Kinko’s

Fedex, Microsoft Vista, Promotional Items, Vista Print

Another Thursday and once again I was running against time to get my things done. I needed copies for a Character Sheet and the closest place to me that could accommodate my quick need was FedEx Kinko’s right down the street from my house.

Since I was getting ready to go on vacation in two weeks from now, I wanted to make certain that I have Business Cards and a few promotional Items on hand when I go.

For that reason I had been looking through Vista Print before and have ordered from them on several occasions. I have always found their quality satisfactory and the shipping was quick enough in most cases, however now I needed the Cards in a rush.

Since I was already at FedEx Kinko’s to get my copies I decided to check into the prices for their Items in the Business Cards and Promotional Items Section. I was blown away when I took a look at the Prices. The cheapest Business Card package, with nothing special to speak off, was $25.99 for 100 cards. The plus point was that the Item would have been ready to pick up in 3 hours, but the plainness of the Design available for this amount and the small number of copies stung me a little.

I went home and logged on to Vista Print in and checked out the delivery charges. I checked into how long it would take for my Items to arrive and how much it would cost me to go the Vista Print route.

Here are the comparisons:

FedEx Kinko’s is right down the street from me. I can proof the cards right then and there. The Cards have a wide variety of lay outs with the simplest and cheapest starting out at $25.99 for 100 copies. I could pick them up in 3 Hours time and have them ready to go.

Vista Print is an online store, which means I can not proof the card in person and I would have to wait for the cards to be delivered depending on which delivery service I choose. I have to add the S&H; charges to my order. That is where the downsides stop and all the pluses started. I was able to set up my own Business Logo from a large variety right there on my Computer for free. Once I was satisfied with the Logo I was able to choose my Business Cards with the Business Logo design and from a big selection of choices. 100 Cards at my design and with my Business Logo for free. That was not all, once you click back on the Account section click through the different offers. There is a big selection of free to you products, with you having to pay for nothing more then Shipping and Handling charges.

Remember, I started out having to pay a minimum of $25.99 for 100 simple and not what I wanted Business Cards at FedEx Kinko’s with the benefit of them being available within a few hours.

I ended up spending $32.99 for the following order.

100 Business Cards, 100 Premium Business Cards, 250 Return Address Labels with my Business Logo which I created and matches the Premium Business Cards, 1 Block of sticky notes with my Name and email address on top, 1 free Rubberstamp with my name and Address, 1 Quicken Book and 1 annual subscription to PC Magazine. All those items were free; I paid for Shipping and Handling with the guarantee that my Products would be delivered within 2 Weeks, which brings me to the day before I go on vacation.

As mentioned before, I have ordered from Vista before and I have been well satisfied with their quality and their delivery.

In the end I let you make up your own mind which is the better company for Business Cards. For me when it comes to my marketing Items I will stick with Vista, for copies there is none better then FedEx Kinko’s.
