Fashion Party Invitations
One of the first steps of planning a tween fashion birthday party is to create/purchase the birthday party invitations. While you can purchase birthday invitations perfect for your fashion party, it would be more fun to create your own fashionable cards with your tween girl.
The first idea for creating your own tween fashion birthday party invitations would be to use magazine clippings, glue, and card stock. Have your tween daughter clip out shirts, pants, skirts, and dresses from old magazines. Your tween can cut out pictures of clothing or cut clothing shapes out of patterned and colorful magazine pictures. Another way to incorporate costume jewelry at your tween’s fashion birthday party is to set up gift bags on a table along with bowls of costume jewelry. Allow each guest to select a certain amount of costume jewelry each to take home with them.
Make Your Own Jewelry
Make your own jewelry kits are widely available at your local retail stores and craft stores and very popular with fashion loving tween girls. Tween girls are at the age where party games may be a bit childish to play at their birthday party.
To entertain the tweens at your tween’s birthday party create a jewelry making station for the party guests to create their own works of art. If you are hosting a larger party create several stations, make each jewelry station unique by offering different jewelry at each station. For example, you can set up a station for making necklaces, a station for making bracelets, and a station for making earrings.

To create a Make-Up station at your tween’s fashion birthday party set a chair next to an end table. Make sure to have a different make-up kit for each guest. Kits can include items such as lip gloss, body glitter, and/or eye shadow. Allow your tween guests to bring their make-up kits home with them after the party for use later on.
Create another station at your tween’s fashion birthday party for performing hair makeovers for your tween guests. Hang a mirror on the wall in your party area and set a chair in front of it. Set up a table beside the chair filled with hair brushes, combs, and hair accessories to perform your hair makeovers with. Fashion Runway
Another fun activity for your tween’s fashion birthday party is hosting a runway show. Ask each guest to bring several of their favorite outfits to your tween’s fashion birthday party in order to participate in a fashion runway show. You can set up the runway stage in a hallway in your home. Hang curtains at one end of the hallway for the tween girls to enter and exit through during the runway show.
