If you’ve read any of my articles, you know I am for home remedies. They can save money and work faster than going to the pharmacy, ordering medicine, and then going home to start the long process of medicine. Don’t get me wrong. There are times when we need medicine and the prescriptions given by our doctors are the best option for our ailments. Then again, if you remember your grandmother’s home remedies that tend to work every time, well, those are the remedies I love and still use today.

No matter what your ailment, there is a home remedy that can either heal the ailment or help you during the healing process. These remedies can be cost effective and quick healing to your body. Just as wonderful as home remedies are, there are natural antibiotics that are a must have in your pantry. Pull these out when calamities strike to quickly clean wounds, prevent wounds or infections.

Natural Antibiotics

Vitamin C – We’ve all heard how important it is to take our vitamins. What you may not have known is that taking vitamin c can help you keep colds, sore throats, and the flu away. If you discover someone in your family is sick, start giving everyone in your family vitamin c so that everyone will stay healthy. This is a wonderful trick to keeping the healthy family members healthy and help the sick to quickly recover. There are chewable vitamin c tablets for younger children that make this a quick and easy natural remedy. This home remedy is not only natural but a safe way to fight off colds during the cold season.

Tea Tree Oil – Oh, how I love Tea Tree Oil! Tea Tree Oil is affective so for so many different ailments that you will love this little natural remedy. Whether you have dry skin, jock itch, yeast infections, athlete’s foot, hemorrhoids, lice, or even nail fungus Tea Tree Oil is a natural antibiotic that will quickly eliminate wounds, sores and infections. Keep Tea Tree Oil in your pantry because you will use this throughout the year!

Got Lice? Use Tea Tree Oil on hair for up to 24 hours on wet hair for amazing results. Use shower cap over hair. Rinse hair and comb through as normal.

Hydrogen PeroxideHydrogen Peroxide Baths If you have a migraine, take a bath in hot water and hydrogen peroxide for amazing results. The hydrogen peroxide acts puts oxygen back into your system as well as acting like a detox. After about 20-30 minutes, just rinse off, and you will notice a difference with your headaches.

Hydrogen Peroxide can be used to heal mouth canker sores. To use, take a mouthful of hydrogen peroxide and swish in your mouth. Don’t swallow. Spit out. The hydrogen peroxide can also make your teeth cleaner and brighter.

Use the hydrogen peroxide to clean windows to make the sparkle brighter than using a normal window cleaner!

Witch Hazel – If you have a skin condition, witch hazel is the natural remedy you need. Witch Hazel can be used to clean out minor wounds and is mild as a treatment. If you are looking for a mild acne treatment, witch hazel can be used to help tone and clear acne.

Witch Hazel is an effective natural antibiotic that can be used for many different ailments such as hemorrhoids and other conditions. If you are ever in doubt, make sure to consult with your doctor as natural antibiotics are never meant to replace medical advice.
