There is something about a train running down snowy train tracks that spells Holidays. Holiday cards, pictures, and decorations all have train themes on them. The train continues to be popular, with children and adults. Many adults have fascination with trains that cause them to chase the trains to take pictures, study the trains, and build replicas of the trains. There are several opportunities to catch the romance of the train during the holidays. There are special train rides and facinating model train displays. The Holiday Train that will be traveling through Wisconsin, is a very exciting event that benefits food pantries.

East Troy Railroad Museum celebrated it’s one hundredth anniversary this year. The Holiday Express is a kid friendly holiday trolley ride on Wisconsin’s Historic Electric Railroad. Kind will love the train ride and visiting with Santa, who be riding the train on all days. Trains are scheduled to run from The Elegant Farmer, 1545 Main Street Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Trains will depart at 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM. 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM. Fares are $8 for adults and $6 for children 3-11.

Santa will be on board the steam train, welcoming boys and girls. Dress warmly because the train cars are open There will be hot chocolate and cookies to keep everyone warm. Riverside & Great Northern Railway.

Canadian Pacific Railroad’s
Holiday Train
Canadian Pacific Railroad’s Holiday Train is making it’s journey across the Midwest to benefit food pantries. Entertainers will disembark from the train at scheduled stops and put on a lively show to the crowds that bundle up and gather. the performance is free, but donations are appreciated. Entertainers include Milwaukee folk rock Willy Porter, Nashville bluegrass/country singer Pat Flynn, and Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer Tracey Brown. The train promises to be a festive sight, decked out in lights and decorated colorfully. Plan to arrive early to see the train pull into the station! All times listed are approximate and are subject change. Please plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes early.

“Holiday Train” display is in the window of the Museum Lobby. The 20 . 15 foot display includes several trains, a streetcar and detailed village, mountain and rural scenes. The display is visible during regular Museum hours, and is lit and visible from the exterior until 9:00 PM. Sponsored by the G Scale Model Train Club.
