Helpful Websites for Pregnant Moms

Babycenter, Birth Stories, Expecting Moms, Mom Advice

Am I really pregnant, could the test be wrong? When should I first feel the baby move? What is a safe remedy for morning sickness? Have these or similar questions on your mind? If you’re like most women of the 2000’s, you search online for advice, suggestions, and information. The internet can be a very valuable too during your pregnancy. When I was pregnant with both my children, I found several websites that were very enlightening and resourceful. Although your obstetrician should be your #1 resource, online sites can be of great assistance as well. If you are expecting a baby, here are a few websites to visit during your pregnancy.

Babyfit.com

Babyfit.com is an extensive site that can be very beneficial to expecting moms. It offers a variety of helpful tools, articles, resources, and message boards. It will even provide you with a meal plan and nutrition reports. It also includes fitness tips, a calendar, and even a spot for journal entries. Be sure to check out the message boards, where you can connect with other women due the same time as you. Babyfit.com is a great site to bookmark if you are expecting, or plan to be pregnant soon.

Pregnancy.org

Pregnancy.org is another valuable site. It has numerous articles for pregnant (and trying to get pregnant) moms such as “All Prenatal Vitamins Are Not Alike” and “Choosing and Interviewing a Doula. There’s an “Ask the Expert” section where you can review many questions and answers from experts such as midwives and nutritionists. If you don’t see the answer to the question you have, you can e-mail one in. One added perk it has are health videos you can watch on topics such as labor and delivery. Pregnancy.org has a wealth of information for moms-to-be.

ePregnancy.com

ePregnancy.com can be very informative for expecting moms. Like the sites above, it offers educational pregnancy and baby related articles. It has a week-by-week guide where you can read about how your baby is currently developing and more. It has a forum as well – although some of the sections are not very active, it does offer a chance to connect with other moms like you.

Duedatebuddies.com

Duedatebuddies.com is simply a message board where you can connect with other moms. It is more of a social site, as it does not have articles or tools. You can read birth stories, ask questions for mom to mom advice (remember your ob is your most important resource however), and just share tips and thoughts.

Yourpregnancyplace.com

Yourpregnancyplace.com is another site filled with articles, tools and a message board. One neat feature is the belly gallery. You can also read some birth stories and even rent a doppler or purchase a belly casting kit. It is worth a peak!

Mypregnancyguide.com

Mypregnancyguide.com is another site full of helpful articles for both women who are pregnant and trying to conceive. It also has a names database, breastfeeding section, and a freebies section. Check it out, you might find it to be very helpful during your pregnancy.

Fitpregnancy.com

Fitpregnancy.com is another fabulous online magazine and interactive website. You can read helpful articles, blogs, and review the pregnancy calendar. Another great perk of the site is that it will help you create a birth plan. This is one site that you might want to bookmark and return to often.

You will have access to beneficial breastfeeding information and have a chance to participate in a helpful forum. You can also contact local La Leche League groups in your area to find a meeting or speak with a leader. This website is highly recommended for all pregnant moms.

Americanpregnancy.org

Americanpregnancy.org is the official website of the American Pregnancy Association. It has many fantastic articles, tools, and a very active message board. It even has a health professional locator, where you can find an ob, doula, infertility specialist, etc. in your area. There is also a shopping section as well. The American Pregnancy website is a nice online spot for expecting moms.

Babycenter.com

Babycenter.com has been assisting moms-to-be in their pregnancies for several years. It contains a large number of informative articles, as well as tools, a week-by-week guide, baby name finder and much more. The message board section is also spot you can’t miss – there are dozens of helpful online groups covering just about anything and everything. A visit to Babycenter.com is a must for all expecting moms.

These are just a few of the many sites available for pregnant moms. Remember to always seek medical advice from a health profession first. The internet can be a beneficial tool, but it is not meant to replace your doctor.
