In the Sacramento area I will cover three main miniature golf locations but they all are very different and offer different activities besides mini golf and they also offer different min golf games. The three mini golf facilities in the area are at Golfland Sunsplash, Laser Qusars, and Monster Mini Golf. We will first look at the smallest mini golf location the one located in Laser Qusars.
Laser Qusars is located in Eldorado Hills. As you can tell from the name Laser Qusar is predominately a laser tag location not a mini gold one. So the mini golf here is only a 9-hole course. It offers an inside course with black light and a dinosaur theme. There is only one course to choose from. Though inside they offer your typical course fare though no water or large buildings they do offer things like the metal loop though. The theme is fun with large dinosaurs and dino music in the background. The dinosaur music can get annoying and some people get confused by the lighting the farther back and more in the dark and away from the door the more the lighting affects you and there are some holes that really take advantage of the optical confusion caused by the lighting making for either a more annoying course or a more challenging one depending on your temperament. Prices vary according to the website it cost $5.50 for those over 45 inches and under is only $5. On Thursdays they have their special of mini golf only $4.50. I would say that if you are just going for mini gold go somewhere else but if you are going for laser tag with golf then fill free to go here. Laser Qusar does offer one of the best laser tag experiences in the area, which is the main reason to go here.
Monster Mini Golf in Rancho Cordova is another inside black light course. It is large but more expensive then Laser Qusars. It cost $7.5 but discounts are offered such as for students with ID get $2 off a game or Tuesdays specials only $5. I would prefer going to to Laser Qusars and spending a little less and redoing the course before returning my ball then pay more for the same thing. The main difference besides being 18 holes is that the theme is a Halloween scary theme though it is popular with kids so it is not really scary a lot of it is silly scary.
Golfland Sunsplash has by far the largest mini golf of the three. As its name suggest the focus is on the golf and the water park. The golf offers two 18 hole courses. They are your typical mini golf fair all outdoors. Prices vary wildly. Mondays is family night and prices are $4 a game for all, general gold is $7.75, kids 3-11 are 6.75, under 3 free with adults, seniors are $6.75. Other deals are also available such as an online four game special so you should check the site to see what specials are going on. This is a great overall family fun center offering a mini water park with some really good water rides, one of the largest go kart areas around, the best mini golf in the area, a good size arcade, and the smallest local laser tag but still a very fun laser tag. If you are looking for traditional mini golf this is the place to go.
There are a couple other locations in the area including Scandia, and one by Arden but they are more for those living more downtown Sac then the suburbs and they are also not as nice or in as nice of areas. Scandia does offer batting cages, bumper boats, and go carts though along with a full mini golf course outside and Arden has the same.
If you are just looking for mini golf then Sunsplash is the best choice especially on Monday’s. If you want to other things then Laser Quasar or Sunsplash are the best choices depending on what you want to do, also price and location could play a factor for you. While we would suggest Laser Qusar of Monster Mini Golf if you want indoor golf if you are closer to Monster and don’t want to drive the extra 10 minutes or so to Laser Qusar then Monster is the best for you. Each situation is different and you may even want to try them all and see what you like best.
