In The Beginning. Jared Drake Bell was born on June 27, 1986 in sunny Orange County, California. He later dropped his first name for professional reasons.

Besides his parents, Joe Bell and Robin Dodson, Drake also has a stepfather, a stepsister, a younger sister named Savanna Bell and two older brothers, Robert and Travis. Opportunity Of A Lifetime. At the age of fourteen, Drake Bell began playing guitar. He was filming the major motion picture picture, “High Fidelity” at the time. Angel On His Shoulder. In 2005, Drake Bell was involved in a very serious car accident. He was driving his 1966 Ford Mustang when he crashed in Los Angeles, California. Because of the car’s age, it was not equipped with air bags. Drake Bell suffered a fractured neck, several dislodged teeth and a very deep gash on his chin. Thankfully his injuries were not life threatening, but did require extensive plastic surgery and months of rehabilitation time. Undoubtedly the lack of air bags in his classic car could have resulted in much more severe consequences of the accident. Drake Bell had an angel on his shoulder that day.
Tabloid Gossip. Drake Bell was inadvertently pulled into High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens’ risque photo scandal in 2007. Rumors abound that the two are dating and that the photos in question were emailed to Drake. Drake Bell has denied any knowledge of the photos.
