Freeze-It® Advanced Therapy Pain Relief Gel Review

Arthritis Pain Relief, Menthol, Pain Relief

I pulled a muscle in my shoulder recently, and the pain and stiffness have made it hard for me to function normally. It’s been especially hard to sleep at night. I was using Ben-Gay® on my injury, but it only gave minimal relief. I even tried Extra Strength Ben-Gay®, but it made my sensitive skin feel like it was on fire. My massage therapist recommended Biofreeze®. But, she recommended I buy a knock-off brand because Biofreeze® is pricey. Read this Freeze-It® Advance Therapy Pain Relief Gel Review and find out if this product may help you!

Price and Availability
I purchased a 4-ounce tube of Freeze-It® Advanced Therapy Pain Relief Gel at WalGreen’s for $9.99. This product is also available at stores like Bartell Company, Bi-Mart, Branson Drug, Brooks/Eckerd, CVS, Discount Drug Mart, Discount Emporium, Giant Eagle, Harmon Stores, Kerr Drug, Krider’s Pharmacy, Longs Drug, Meijer’s, Publix, Rite Aid, Savemart, Smith Drug, Thrifty White, Tractor Supply, Value Drug, Wal-Mart and Winn Dixie.

Product Description
Freeze-It® Advanced Therapy Pain Relief Gel is designed to give “Muscle, Joint & Arthritis Pain Relief”, according to the tube. It also gives temporary pain relief to “simple back pain, muscles pains, cramps, bruises, bursitis, tendinitis and joint pain.”

According to their web site, Biofreeze® contains 3.5% menthol, 0.2% camphor, and an herbal extract called ILEX Paraguariensis. Freeze-It® also contains the same amount of menthol and camphor. The inactive ingredients also list Ilex Paraguariensis Leaf Extract, Aloe Extract and Vitamin E. Vitamin E is beneficial as a topical health aid: The Amazing Health Benefits of Using Vitamin E Topically.

Directions:
Adults and children over 12 years of age can use Freeze-It® Advanced Therapy Pain Relief Gel. You can use it up to 4 times a day. Just like Ben-Gay®, you cannot use any type of heating device with Freeze-It®. A quick side note: my friend Pat rubbed Ben-Gay® on her lower back one night. She then turned her heating pad on “Low” and placed it on her aching muscles. When she awoke several hours later, her lower back had a new problem- blisters.

Test Results and Conclusion
When you first rub Freeze It® on your skin, it’s pretty stinky. You can really smell the menthol and the camphor in this green gel. Your skin also feels cool. But, after a minute or two, the smell fades, which I like. I don’t want to go out in public smelling “geriatric.” And, the coolness fades as well.

So, does Freeze It® really work? Did it relieve the pain in my arm? It sure did! I was amazed at the freedom of movement it gave me. My shoulder was stiff and painful until I massaged Freeze It® on it. I make sure to use this pain relieving gel at bedtime, and a couple other times throughout the day. If I got busy and missed an application, naturally, my shoulder lets me know.
Unlike Extra Strength Ben-Gay®, which makes my skin burn, Freeze It® doesn’t bother my sensitive skin at all.

If you’re suffering from painful arthritis, sprains, strains, et cetera, I highly recommend using Freeze-It® Pain Relief Gel. It’s working very well for me.
