Free Crochet Patterns – Amigurumi Frogs

Amigurumi, Big Eyes, Crochet Patterns, Free Crochet Patterns, Japanese Art

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting little stuffed dolls or stuffed animals (see my article How to Make Amigurumi Dolls for more information on this fun crochet craft). If you love to crochet, you will soon become addicted to making Amigurumi critters. They are easy to crochet. And since they don’t use up much yarn, they are a great way to use up yarn scraps. Amigurumi animals make great gifts for both children and adults. Or just make them to add to your Amigurumi collection!

Below are some free crochet patterns to make cute little Amigurumi frogs. You do not need to register on any sites to get these free patterns. Just print the instructions and you are ready to crochet! And if you like cats, you must check out these free patterns for Amigurumi cats!

Amigurumi Frog #1 – Big Headed Frog: This is a little 6 inch frog with a big head, big eyes and a wide smile. The instructions for this Amigurumi are easy to follow. If you want to make an even smaller version of this cute frog, use finer yarn and a smaller crochet hook. To get the free instructions for the Big Headed Frog click here.

Amigurumi Frog #2 – Happy Frog: This frog is so sweet! And when you see the photo, you will understand why it’s necessary to make more than one of these frogs (they need friends to lay in the grass with). These little frogs have floppy arms and legs. I think they would look cute sitting on the edge of a shelf with their little legs hanging down. To get the free instruction for the Happy Frog click here.

Amigurumi Frog #4 – Ami Frog: This is one chubby frog! He’s all belly with lanky arms and legs. He’s a real cutie! To get the free instruction for the Ami Frog click here.

Amigurumi Frog #5 – Hackey Sack Frog: Even if you don’t want or need a hackey sack, you will love having this adorable Amigurumi frog in your collection. You get nice step-by-step photo instructions for this frog. To see the finished frog, scroll down to the end of the instructions. To get the free instruction for the Hackey Sack Frog click here.
