Five Easy Vodka Cocktail Recipes

Long Island Iced Tea

Every party host should have at least decent knowledge of vodka recipes. If you are planning to be one, continue reading. If not, continue reading anyway. This list may come in handy in the near future. But please be reminded that for these recipes you would need a shaker; for these drinks are best served shaken, not stirred.

Apple Martini

There are several variations of the Apple Martini, or Appletini. Others use calvados, some apple puree, and some apple schnapps. This recipe uses the apple schnapps and has a very sweet taste. Garnish with a green apple slice or peel for an extra touch.

What you need:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz green-apple schnapps

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Basil North

The Basil North is an excellent, fresh, herbal cocktail with the taste as a kind of basil-infused hybrid between an Apple Martini and a Lemon Drop. But the basil leaves is the clincher here for this recipe. Of course, you are the only one that should know about that. After shaking the herbs with the drink, make sure to fine strain it before serving. You don’t want leaves floating in the glass.

What you need:

  • 25 ml apple juice
  • 50 ml Cape North Vodka
  • 2 basil leaves
  • 1 freshly squeezed lemon (cut in half)
  • 1 dash of sugar

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Victoria’s Secret

This light pink cocktail is a delicate mix of citrus and cream of strawberries, appropriate for any romantic occasion or a ladies-only cocktail party. Piece of advice: scout for crème de fraises stocks in your town. Finding this baby is a bit of a challenge. Find it and there won’t be any secrets.

  • cola
  • 1 tsp sugar
