My Favorite Peach Vodka Cocktail’s

Sex on the Beach

Flavored vodkas are all the rage right now. But if all you have on hand is regular vodka, then just use the regular with peach schnapps. The peach flavor is there, but of course, is stronger when used with peach vodka. Remember, without the peach schnapps in the recipe, the peach vodka has to be used.

The drinks below are easy enough to make at home, fancy enough for dinner parties, sexy enough for quiet dinners for two and quick enough to make just because! I am going to show you how to change them up, just by changing the glass or method used to make the cocktails.

You will need various sized glassware, for example:

The martini glass, the cocktail glass, regular or tall, the fancy glass, for blenders or over ice, and the shot glass or rocks glass.

A cocktail shaker and/or a blender.

Any Peach Vodka or Regular Vodka and Triple Sec.

A variety of juices and sprite or seven-up.

Sugar, ice, maraschino cherries, orange and/or peach slices.

Hairy Navel
(Or Hard Fuzzy Navel or Fuzzy Hard Driver)

Any Peach Vodka or Regular Vodka
Peach Schnapps
(½ oz. to 1 oz. each)
Orange Juice
(Approx. 4 oz or more or to taste)

Fill glass with ice. Pour ingredients over ice, insert straw and top off with a maraschino cherry. Change it up a little and use Sunny Delight instead of O.J. Makes it a little sweeter.

Did you know you could also make a shot with the same ingredients? Just use equal parts of all ingredients, fill a shaker with ice, shake and strain into a shot glass.

Or, using the measurements above, blend it with ice and real peaches and add an umbrella. Enjoy!

If you want to get really fancy, this is going to impress the best! Change the glass to a large fancy cocktail glass. Use equal parts of the ingredients, maybe a touch more orange or pineapple, pour over ice in a shaker, shake and strain. Pour some sugar on a plate, take a slice of orange, wet the rim of your glass by sliding the orange slice all the way around it, turn it upside down and dip into the sugar. Garnish with a cherry and/or an orange or peach slice. Beautiful!

Peach Martini

3 oz peach vodka
1/2 oz triple sec

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a large or small martini glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry or a peach slice, and using the sugared glass instructions above is also recommended

The Pink Peach

1 1/2 oz peach vodka
2 oz cranberry juice
2 oz orange juice

Pour the peach vodka, cranberry juice and orange juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well, and pour entire contents into a tall cocktail glass with several ice cubes. Garnish with a peach slice, and serve. Or blend it. Also can be a shot.

Peach Vodka Cooler

1 oz. Peach Vodka (or regular)
1 oz. Peach Schnapps
2 oz. Orange Juice
2 oz. Sprite or Seven-Up
All ingredients over ice in any glass (also blendable), garnish with cherry and peach slice, add a straw and enjoy! No need to make this drink any other way but the sugared glass is also nice.

Finally, the popular Sex on the Beach and this is most likely the original. But, there are lots of substitutes. Popular substitutes include using pineapple for the orange, or pineapple and orange, or pineapple for the cranberry.

Sex on the Beach

1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz peach schnapps
2 oz cranberry juice
2 oz orange juice

Add vodka and peach schnapps to a tall or regular glass over ice. Fill with equal measures of cranberry juice and orange juice, and stir. Also blendable and shot-worthy.

(Reminder: The ingredient measurements are never exact and are to taste.)

Whichever way you choose to serve these cocktails, they will be enjoyed by all. Peach seems to scream out “summer”, so you know they will be cool and refreshing. But, remember, these cocktails or anything else alcoholic does not mix with driving. So, as simple as these are to make, make them at home or out by the pool or barbecue. Enjoy them, just “Don’t Drink and Drive!”
